"I would have hoped a 'grown man with autonomy' would behave more maturely." He sighed again. Couldn't he have just built figures with his lonely android instead of bothering him? "...Well, in that case I suppose it won't be a shocking revelation if he somehow ends up locked in my basement. He did want to see it after all, and there are plenty of enrichment options down there."
"He has a lot of energy that he cannot expend through athletic means anymore, so mischief must be the next best thing, to him. That is my hypothesis."
"That sounds like it would be an engaging experience for him. If you do that, I will provide you with his medication and supplements as well as written instructions for when and how he must take each one."
Whether or not Damian is joking hardly matters to Seil, as long as their strange doctor is cared for.
"Seil, would you please retrieve him. He's being a menace. More so than usual."
They carefully attach one turret after another on the shoulder of some plastic mech, pausing only once the pieces are in place to turn their attention to Damian.
"There is only so much I can do. He is a grown man with autonomy."
There is another pause.
"... And he did not wish to join me in building this figure as he has not 'caught up' with the series it is from. I suppose he is worried about 'spoilers'. If you wish to be rid of him, find some other task that he can throw himself into. That is my suggestion."
They look away for five seconds and it seems Lester has wandered off to menace the local nerd population.

Oh well. It is none of their business what that man does in his spare time. They are going back to focusing on their gunpla project.
He shook his head, pinching the bridge of his nose. "...Let's just move on, shall we?" He gave a light nod. "So far it's been going alright. The land I got is spacious so I was also able to open up a pokemon daycare out of the facility as well. Mostly to help fund my research and pay bills, but I thought it might also be a good opportunity to aid in my studies as well."
He did rub his chin. "Well, I've only just gotten situated. I'm sure there's plenty of things I might be missing still. I'm sure something could be arranged." Though his lips pursed at Lester's last question. "...No, it's not a mad scientist's lab. What do you take me for?"
Lester just gave a small laugh, but acquiesced with his friend's request to move on... for now.
"Daycare? That does sound like fun. Good to know my team will be in safe hands any time I've got business in Kalos. Did I tell you I've been chosen by a skitty recently? The thing's a little menace, but she's cute so she's above laws and gods alike."

"Damiaaan, don't you lie to me. What's the point of having a high-tech fancy pants lab if you're not doing sketchy shit in it? C'mon. Got any crazy plans, at least?"

Lester was something of an athlete back in the day. He was a sucker for Tennis in particular (and had the opportunity to go pro if he wanted to), though he'd take a shot at anything and everything at least once. Messing with computers and programming was always his main love but he always made time to get out and hit balls around and crack open cold ones and shove his friends in lockers, all that fun jock stuff.
The little ultra machine incident put a damper on his more athletic hobbies... but he'll still absolutely dominate at table tennis.
Bonus: there is an alternate universe Lester who did not mope about and used the opportunity to give himself radical cyborg legs and went on to become a Steel type gym leader in Galar with Magnezone as his ace. He would bully this universe's Lester and then they'd kiss
"Hell yeah, I'd love to be a robot programmed by myself, too. Instead I'm stuck with this lame ass wetware body that doesn't do what I tell it to and if I ever stop eating handfuls of tightly packed chemicals every day it'll just fall apart."
"I don't have laser eyes either. Why even live."
"Doctor." Seil said sternly. A reminder, or a warning?

"I haven't seen you in all this time and that's what you decide to ask me?" He gave a sigh before clearing his throat. "Well, I moved again for one. I settled in Kalos, and built my own personal lab there."
"Hey now, isn't it enough to know that even after all these years I remember what's important to you?"
"Kalos? Not bad! I'll be sure to visit the next time I'm there for business. Or maybe we'll just have to make an excuse--if you're in need of any doodads or gadgets I could always make a personal delivery, yeah?"
Really, any excuse he'd have to travel and write it off as a business expense was a plus.
"Anything fun going on in that personal lab? Has anything breached containment that humanity should be fearful of?"

Cursed Minecraft-Related Headcanons

Jokes aside though I tried to imagine how Lester or Seil would play a game like minecraft. Lester would probably dabble in redstone work but almost entirely just to booby trap his base. His base of which is definitely inside a giant glass orb up as high in the sky as the game will allow him to build, but he is not so attached that he hasn’t rigged the whole thing to explode and release lava if someone doesn’t press just the right buttons before going inside.
Seil would be confused for a while at first while trying to determine what the goal of the game is. Lester’s advice of ‘just have fun’ wasn’t very helpful, but eventually they would end up exploring and documenting interesting formations in the world generation. If they come across a village, they would build walls around it and keep the area well lit, clear out any obstacles blocking any of the doorways, etc. Then move on to the next town to help out these ‘digital squid men’.
They stopped trying to play with Lester specifically because he kept blowing them up. It took many, many explosions before they learned that petting creepers to tame them is not an actual game mechanic and he was just messing with them the whole time.

Eyes open wide, engine whirring softly and coolant pumping steadily.
They are... awake.
They are also not alone.
"Morning, sleeping beauty." The scientist grasps their hand and helps them to their feet. A reflexive and unnecessary gesture, yet appreciated by the android all the same. Lester continues.
"Up you go--we've got a lot of work ahead of us."
Seil nods dutifully, pausing only when they seem to notice something peculiar about Lester's appearance, namely the bags under his eyes.
"Have you slept, Doctor?"
"What are you, a cop? What do you think I've got coffee for? Now c'mon, these porygon aren't gonna wrangle themselves."
Brows furrow. They do not like that answer, but know better then to protest. After all, they do not protest--they take action.
"Very well, Doctor. I will schedule a time for you to rest after the porygon have been contained."
"I don't need a designated nap time, thank you very much." Lester scoffs.
This back and forth would continue as they made their way through the hallways of the facility, as if not a thing had changed.
Robots are fucking warm, actually
Like, unless they have complex cooling systems and shit, they’re gonna have moving parts in them, gears and stuff, making their brains and shit work. Those create kinetic fucking energy, which warms them up, just like computers
