made the mistake of looking through the jo x laurie tag and half the posts are like, people who ship them are STUPID and DELUSIONAL and men and women can be FRIENDS jo is a LESBIAN. like, i'm not looking in this tag to be told i'm dumb, i'm looking into this tag to find a giftset of jo and laurie sharing clothes because she wants to be a man and he wants to be a woman. he wants jo to get down on one knee and propose to him. she wants to be independent and not have to give anything up. they're actually both lesbians, and it rocks so hard that they're so in sync in so many ways but can't make it work and never could. and then he marries her sister, the sister she has the most contentious relationship with and is the most like her. just think it's neat. a rich text. in the 2019 movie when she's got his hand in his pocket. good stuff.

I finished Jo and Laurie: Love Found last night and am already diving into The Courtship of Jo March. This happens to be my third Little Women retelling—after starting with Jo & Laurie by Margaret Stohl—and the longest so far. I'm incredibly excited about the pairing between Beth and Frank. As for Jo and Laurie, I will gladly keep paying for the privilege of seeing them fall in love time and time again.
