“Yes, I might be pretending that I’m twenty and carefree. No drama here.”

“I don’t even blame you.”

“I mean…if you insist. But it’s only Mac and cheese.”

“But I haven’t had proper Mac and Cheese in awhile.” 

“I’m just not interested in cooking.”

“You’re not going to say that when you move out and have to cook for yourself.”

Ryder smiled softly looking up from her plate, “It went pretty good.” she shrugged, “Nothing to complain about really.” she smiled, “How was yours? You good?” she asked before eating once more.

“I don’t think I’m ever going to cook.”

“Why do you think that? You’re going to cook. I can even teach you if you want?”

“Thanks, and trust me I know not to eat Val’s cooking.” she laughed, “I’m not that willing to be poisoned yet.”

“You have a good point there, but your food is almost as good as your mothers.”

“Thanks, but I didn’t make that.”

“Then i definitely take that back, until you actually cook.”

“And I am good at hiding things,” she shrugged. “Thanks,” she smiled and took the skirt. “What do you mean?”

she shook her head but smiled softly, “just stay true to who you are and not change because of this tv show and don’t grow up too fast it makes me sad.”

“Anyone know where I get into some trouble around here?”

“what are we twenty again?”

“Do you see dad here? Because I don’t.”

“he has a funny way of knowing things.” she shook her head before digging through her clothes, “this is the shortest on me, but babe don’t try and change while we’re here.”

“I want the shortest one, please.”

“You’r’e dad won’t let either one of us walk out of my room with that and you know that.”

“Do you have a skirt I can borrow?”

“I have multiple skirts you can borrow.”

“I don’t have an attitude. I need it because I’m going out.”

“You’re just going to have to do without it for now babe.”
