Well, I’m here… Hi new friends!

Hello there! Who are you?

Instead of taking his hand, Naomi placed two of the bags into his hand. “Fine then, help me out by carrying these to my house for me.” She says as she stands up. Her rear end began to sting due to her collision with the sidewalk. With her free hand, she began to dust away any debris on her rear end before checking the plastic bags. She made sure that everything was still intact and that nothing rolled out. Luckily, all of the goods were alright. “Good thing everything in this bag is alright because if something was missing or damaged, you would have to buy all of it and explained to that old woman what happened.”

Ryden nodded and took the bags, eager to help. The girl hit the ground very hard, and he could probably guess that she was at least a little hurt. He held the bags carefully, not wanting to cause any more damage. "Again, I'm sorry. What old woman?" He asked curiously. He thought for a brief moment that he should be worried about going with a random stranger to an unknown location, but he brushed off the thought. "Where are we going anyways?"

Well if I’m hurt, what exactly will you do for me? 

I can offer you a Band-Aid or something.

Tyler was walking along in the city, looking around for someone to bother when he suddenly he bumped into Ryden. He fell back, falling on his bum. “Owwwwww.” Ty said, rubbing his back. “I’m fine, I’m fine. Don’t worry about it. I’m known for being a huge klutz.” He said, looking up at Ryden. He grinned as he saw the blonde. “You alright yourself?”

"Yeah," Ryden replied, standing up and brushing himself off. "No harm done! I suppose this is as good as way as any to meet new people." He smiled at the strange guy, whom seemed kind of dorky (because it's in his name teehee). He held out a hand for the stranger. "My name's Ryden. Who are you?"

"Oh, that’s cool. You should have fun catching cool new Pokémon, then! Well, I just haven’t seen any Pokémon as cool as flying types. You should’ve seen me battling Lieutenant Surge! He’s this electric type gym leader from the last town. Look!" He shows the other the inside of his jacket, which had four badges pinned to it. He pointed at the one shaped like a sun. "Got ninety nine problems but a type disadvantage ain’t one, let me tell ya."

"Woah!" Ryden looked at the badges, they were pretty cool since he had none, "That's awesome that you got over the type disadvantage! I bet you did pretty well against Lieutenant Surge too."

That’s great! And I do. I’ve got my partner, Herbie. He’s a Venusaur. I also have a Kabutops named Baz, Lucario named Auron, a Numel named Jojo, and Volta, who’s a Tynamo.

Woah. So you have a full team and everything!

Nice to meet you Ryden! I’m Benji Riley! And welcome to the project. I see I have you down here with a Plusle. Is that your only Pokemon?

"Woah! That’s so rad. What Pokémon do you have? I’ve got a Wingull, a Skarmory, and a Tropius. I haven’t been able to find a flying type I really want yet, so I haven’t caught any more Pokémon."

Aren’t they? I don’t I want to her grow big and strong. Maybe just a little more independent, but she’s my baby.

"Oh man, oh man. I have so many bruises from last night. I barely even remember how they got there.” He nudges the other, wide grin plastered on his face. “I’m Gus. I’m uh, a participant for that Pokérus research group? You might’ve seen ‘em around somewhere.”

Ryden smiled back and nodded. "Nice to meet you Gus. I'm Ryden. I'm actually in the research group too! I just joined. How many bruises did you get from your wild night on rare candy?"

"I wanted to try it. Sue me." He said with a laugh and a shrug, shoving his hands into his pockets. "It’s just an energy boost. Then a crash. Now we know."

Starfire is my baby Cleffa. She just hatched recently. A friend of mine is watching her tonight, but you can take her next time!

Awe that's like one of the cutest Pokémon! I bet she'll grow big and strong.

"It’s essentially the premise of an adventure. You could stay home, where it’s safe, but you chose to go out an experience shit, despite the world being dangerous."

I am very busy, but as of right now, I just need people to babysit Starfire for me when I need to focus or get some sleep. But I even want to avoid doing that. She can get a little separation anxiety.

"And I’m pretty sure we’re in a world with free health insurance and nonprofit hospitals, so I’m gonna do whatever puts me in the most immediate danger."

No. 

I agree. I’m going to hope I can get some sleep tonight.
