MY LOVER'S GOT HUMOR.

Mom was really happy to see me, and I have to say that I felt the very same about her. If there’s anything that sucks about being in New York all the time, it’s that I’m not with her. But! Since I’m giving her the money I earned at Dalton, I’m happy to say that she’s in a much better place, financially, and that she’s supporting herself in a way I never thought would be possible. It’s honestly the only thing I could ask for this Christmas.

Not yet but I do plan to send in a message later today. Really? Oh Ry, that would be wonderful! I’ve made up a list of those whom I wish to invite to this performance. Of course, you’re invited! That should be super obvious. I have some fuzzy socks of my own so if I feel the urge to make puppets, I’ll use those! Oh yeah, thank you for reminding me. I suppose I should dig out some of my winter gear. There’s a cute winter hat that I’ve been dying to wear. I think summer is my favorite but winter and fall are lose seconds. Just wait until all of the peppermint snacks and drinks come out! Be gone pumpkin! Yeah, I actually start today. I hadn’t wanted to say anything in case I didn’t get it but I did! I’m only working three days a week so far, but once I’ve completed my training and get more comfortable, I may bump up my hours.

Exactly! I don’t want to come off as too cocky or anything like that. Aw, thank you! It feels like all of the hours, week, and months I spent working over one piece of work has finally paid off. It has been way too long since we’ve seen her, yes. I’m going to put away some money to start saving up for plane tickets. I think I’ve had enough bus-sickness to last a lifetime, thank you. 

I think it’d be a little awkward if I wasn’t invited! Hah. You can give me the list whenever you’d like, and we’ll get everything ready for the big day. And you’re very welcome -- you know how much I love my winter wardrobe, so really, it’s doing myself a favor at the same time. Summer is just -- it’s too hot for me. There’s only so many ways to keep cool, but staying warm is very easy. And it’s also the time of the year when things just feel.. content, and homey, and right. It’s unbeatable, if you ask me. That’s all right - congratulations! I’ll have to stop by for a coffee sometime soon. Also, if you need any tricks or tips, you know where to find the professional.

Thank you, Ryan! The support means a lot. It’s a small role but it’s a foot back in the business and a first step on the ladder to the very top. You’ll definitely get an early cut though, if I can get one.

I’ve met some people over the years who love it, and I’m just like h o w??????? But to each their own, I guess. I’m almost done, now, though, so I guess I’m better at this whole moving thing than I thought. Hello, Ryan. I want to teach high school, probably something along the lines of the submissive curriculum. I haven’t really thought about it past just getting back into school. What about you?

I guess, in a sense, they could enjoy having a small task to focus on? For people who need that kind of structure, it’s almost soothing. The tedious things we see don’t really exist to them.

Blaine’s a really good guy and he’s quite musical himself so he understands my nerves as well. Our voices mesh well together too so that’s always a bonus. I started working out the invite list too. To keep me relatively calm, it’ll be a few select people that I trust and have known for a while, you know? I can always have larger audiences when I feel more comfortable. I promise this won’t be like the time I took several of your socks to use as puppets. I remember making paper button eyes and taping them to the socks, oh my god. I only have one and it’s super cozy, hah. Don’t worry, I’ll give it back soon enough. 

Who are you calling a baby? You’re only older by six minutes Ry! But really, I can’t ever express how much this means to me. I’m nervous and excited about this finally happening. I hope to make you and mom proud. Speaking of which, I had an idea of something to give her for Christmas! I know it’s a bit early but you know how she loves “The First Noel”? I could record myself singing it and send her the file!

That sounds fair enough. Did you talk to the center about a possible performing space? Because I can make up some invitations if you’d like to make this something formal. Only if you want to, though -- I don’t want to add any unneeded pressure by making it seem bigger than it possibly could be. I need my socks, so I appreciate your restraint in turning them into invisible friends. You’re fine, though, seriously. I’ve got plenty of shirts to wear, and since we’re getting into the colder seasons, that means I can put most of my wardrobe to good use. Winter is my favorite, without a single doubt. -- Also, did I see something about you getting a possible part time job?

Friday is everybody’s favorite day anyway but you know what makes it even better? Getting booked for an audition. It’s been what feels like fifty years so I am more than ready to get back into the saddle! It might just be a background role for the time being but I’ll consider it baby steps – you can’t go from zero right to the big blockbusters after all, right?

If anybody is looking for me – I’ll be wildly pointing at my mirror and screaming. 

I asked him and we’ve arranged for a rehearsal day. We’re even going to an early dinner together which will be fun! Yeah, let’s hope I don’t vomit due to nerves, hah. Once I practice enough I think I’ll feel more confident about singing in front of people. Aw, you’re such a sweetheart! Even why I have my hair in a messy bun and wearing stained pajama pants? That salsa never came out of the fabric, boo. Oh by the way, if you were wondering where your purple t-shit was, I may have borrowed it. Oops? 

I really appreciate your support Ry. It may seem a bit drastic but I’ve been working on speaking in front of the class too. I’ve gotten better though!

Rehearsing is a pretty big step, I’d say, so you’re part of the way there. That means you’re not as nervous as you think you are. In a sense, anyways -- I think going through with little things that lead up to the big picture is just as courageous as actually conquering your fears. Of course, Marls. Even then. You know that. It’s all right -- I expect these things to happen now that we live together, especially since the happened all the time when we were little. As long as I’ve still got enough to make it through the week, then I’m fine. I appreciate you telling me, though.

Yeah! I’ll need some time and then I hope I can find my way around a little bit more.

I am really glad to be here and the people are nice, so yeah! Yes.. I missed my brothers so much.

As everyone would, so I doubt anyone would blame you. It’s a pretty big space to cover in one day, anyways, so take all the time you need, Bryson.

I still have so many boxes to unpack. Ugh. You never realize how much shit you actually have until you have to pack it all up and then unpack it again. Why do I have so many stilettos? Oh yeah, because they’re fucking badass. 

But to the point  — I’m Griffin Harper, newest resident here at Sinclair Apartments. Pro-sub, lover of high end things and having rich men shower me in gifts. Hello. 

I doubt unpacking is anyone’s favorite thing to do, so kudos to you for having the drive to put it away as soon as possible. The efficient side of my brain wouldn’t let me do anything else until I was completely organized, but I can understand the need to relax once you’ve actually arrived at a new destination.
