if we saw god, the world would end comprehension, then, is supplied by us, our human words, our human hands each facet of them represented through different gods, different theories, different slices and shards of the mirror of truth. one god gives a harvest, another starves you. a man sees a bush ablaze, another sees the world flood and drown. elements mixed by divine hands. a sacrificial lamb dies bleating weakly. thousands of years later another one cries for his father’s forgiveness. in newer times nine hundred of a congregation die in the jungle heat, for a self made, self claimed god. the mirrors we make are sharded shattered forms of the truth. each religion is held, cherished, whether they lead to bodies on a battlefield, church floor or pavilion or whether we humble beings unite under these many wings. but somewhere in a senseless, sightless void the being who made us sleeps, dormant knowing that if eyes were laid upon it they’d blaze before scripture reached their tongues.
