she  watched  the  other  ,  part  of  her  wanting  to  believe  that  the  other  wouldn’t  let  her  die  on  her  watch.  she  hoped  that  was  the  truth.  arms  remained  folded  ,  waiting  to  hear  the  put  down  to  what  she  suggested.  a  roll  of  her  eyes  as  she  heard  the  other  for  a  brief  moment  ,  her  mouth  agap.  she  thought  it  could  work.  a  shock  for  rosie  as  she  expected  it  to  be  ripped  down. “well  ,  it’s  worth  a  tyr.  unless  you  have  a  BETTER plan.”

“LADIES  do  like  a  rugged  man  but  not  a  cave  man.” rosie  commented  with  a  light  laugh  escaping  her  lips.  legs  stretched  out  on  the  sofa  ,  a  pause  for  a  moment.  “yes  ,  a  clean  start  would  be  good.”  she  commented  ,  eyes  looking  at  the  wildlife  magazine  in  hand.  “you  know  you  can  tell  me  if  there’s  something  wrong ,  dad.  i  won’t  go  telling  anyone  anything  if  there  is  something  wrong.”

“I don’t know what you think bullshit smells like but I’ve smelt plenty of it and I’m tellin’ ya kid, I’m not bullshitting you.” Eyebrow arches at her - if she wants to play the sass game, he can sass he right back. “Look, I got a dead kid, one kid missing, and someone told me you might know something. Maybe you don’t, maybe you do, but the clock is ticking.”

skeptical  ,  of  course  she  is.  maybe  it’s  somewhat  a  sixth  and  seventh  instinct  that  came  with  being  raised  in  london  and  more  precisely  221b.  she  had  to  be  skeptical  even  when  people  say  their  law  enforcement.  in  truth  ,  there  was  only  so  FEW  people  she  trusted  and  none  of  them  were  there. “and  you  expect  me  to  believe  a  word  you’re  saying?”she  questioned  ,  eyes  transfixed  and  watching  the  other.  “because  i  can  smell  of  bullshit  lingering  around  in  this  area.”
