Why is RWAP harmful to feminism & womens rights: Contrary to popular belief RWAP are not antifeminist solely because they are against the rights of transgender women. Ultimately, RWAP will always align themselves with the interests of antifeminist conservatives and this is why they are dangerous. The percieved threat of transgender people has become central to the conservative political program. This panic has allowed them to radicalise people and promote their gender essentialist agenda.
Creating a moral panic around the concept of "casual sex", sex before marriage or "hookup culture" to advance the goal of reversing the effects of the 1960s sexual revolution. RWAP regularly refer to consensual sex they do not like as rape to further the idea that sex is bad and women cannot enjoy sex.

Why is the term RWAP (right wing aligned psuedofeminism) important? By referring to themselves as feminists RWAP are able to conceal themselves in a popular movement and make criticism of them seem misogynistic, by taking this away from them we are able to accurately expose their faults.
Additionally, I have found that the new trend of self identified "radfems" hold a combination of conservative beliefs beyond what can be defined as "terf" or "swerf". RWAP acts as an unbrella term that can address all of these beliefs.
