“are you kidding? i hated our cute songs. we’re finally doing something good.”

“okay maybe not some of us but definitely me.”

“i imagine there’s a lot more to do than just introducing toxxik. when we have free days don’t you have to keep tabs on the members or something and make sure they’re all good? or giving pep talks before concerts? i clearly know nothing about group life.” jordan said with a laugh, he was clearly equally as interested in what kiki had to say about being in a group. “it’s the best part of being a soloist to be honest, i know that everyone cheering is actually for me, i feel like in a group i wouldn’t be able to know if they were cheering for me or for what the group is doing behind me while i sing.”

“i mean i guess i can do all that? it’s a group effort really - we’re all in it together so we all give each other a pep talk. besides, it’s hard to give one when you’re not motivated yourself so having a group led one really helps.” kiki replied with a small smile. “typically it’s for you when you sing unless the choreo has a member doing something intense. like, when you sing it’s your spot and nobody else’s so the cheers are typically for you.”

“at least it will exist forever on the internet.”

“it’s not the same though. unless you guys decide to learn japanese so we can recreate it.”

“i liked watching you guys perform pepe the most to be honest, i think it’s still one of my favourite songs by toxxik. it must be pretty worrisome being a leader of a group when it comes to a tour as grand scale as this one. have you found it to be anymore difficult than before we left for tour?” jordan paused to take a quick sip of his drink, “it’s nerve-wracking to be completely honest with you. thousands and thousands of eyes and the entire focus is on me during my set. it adds a lot of pressure. but at the same time i get to command the audience’s attention so i can’t complain too much.”

“pepe's fun, though i’m more partial to ‘like’ if i’m honest.” kiki shrugged, shaking her head, “it’s the same amount? i mean, we’ve got so many people looking after us, especially as girl group members so sometimes i don’t even think there’s a need for me other than introducing us.” she listened inventively, genuinely curious as to what it was like. “oh! i mean, i guess all the cheers happening and knowing they’re solely for you also is an amazing thing, right? like, i always get a rush whenever i hear the cheers for my parts...”

“what was it like having a special stage in japan? cool as heck right?”

“let’s just say that me saying i miss it already is an understatement...”

jordan was in the middle of taking a sip from his drink when kiki asked about his sister. once he was done he set his drink down on the table, “yeah she is sixteen, but she’s doing well i think. we haven’t gone into a lot of detail but before the last flight i asked how she was doing with all of it and she said she was doing good. what about you? i know we talk about it all the time but are you still liking the tour?”

kiki smiled, taking another sip of her drink, “that’s good to hear. i’m always worried about cheyenne, considering she’s almost as young as that.” she let his question sink in, going silent before shrugging, “i’m enjoying it. it’s nice to see that toxxik’s change in music style has been met with a load of enthusiasm from fans, though i do enjoy performing ‘like’ from time to time. how is it to be a soloist on the tour?”

sitting across from jordan at the table of the cafe they were at in the country the tour was currently situated at, kiki smiled. “how’s jasmine handling this whole touring thing?” she asked, head tilted slightly as she stirred her drink with the straw. since their photoshoot, the two of them had gotten a lot closer and the tour was a great way to show it by sticking together, “i know she’s only sixteen-ish, right?”

“Maybe, I guess we’ll be finding out sooner or later… I wonder what kind of clothes they’ll be giving us for it, that’ll probably give us a pretty good hint as to what they’re going for.”

“definitely! i still hope it’s like a cute parisian date setting - i really want to wear a beret.”

“probably like, cutesy fashion ones. i hope there’s a beret!”

Jordan nodded, still adorning a smile on his face despite being nervous, “I’m sure it will be fun and light-hearted. I can’t imagine them wanting to do a solemn ridden photoshoot at a cafe.”

“maybe they might be trying to go for juxtaposition or an oxymoron...you never know with photographers...”

“Most of that matches up to what I was told, my manager said it was a couple-like shoot but that was really all the information I got.” Jordan said with a smile, he was somewhat nervous considering this was his first shoot with someone else.

“so... a couple’s photoshoot?” kiki repeated, mostly to herself. “it could be fun. i mean, at least if it’s cafe themed it could be light-hearted and not solemn?”

Jordan let out a sigh of relief after it being revealed that he was correct, he was also happy to know that Kiki knew who he was as well.  “Yep, that’s me.” He said cheerfully as he began to calm down a bit internally. “So, have you heard what kind of concept the photoshoot is going to be?”

Kiki shook her head lightly, “I don’t know, but I did see really fancy looking clothes coming in and Yehwan mentioned something about it being cafe date themed? I wasn’t paying attention though so I could be hearing it all wrong...”
