“you know how like.. influencers make their own brands sometimes? you could do that, but on a bigger platform!” she laughed

“oh god. i have to work on getting famous first,” she laughed. “it sounds nice, but i have a lot of work to put in first.”

“well, i’m not happy. i’m stuck with my little sister in my group. bleh. i’ll never escape you,” dylan teased

“you got to throw ninja stars in your debut music video. shut up-- you’re living your dream,” isis giggled.

“it’s not the same at all! they really need to bring that back– it was cute.”

“maybe one day i can get a big enough platform to rally for that. what else am i supposed to do with fame?” she giggled.

“obviously you’d make it special. even if the concept was blah. obviously.”

“yeah, well, whatever. i don’t have to worry about it i guess. auriga is neat. i just resent the idea that that could have not been the case,” she laughed

“oh, like the charms! i remember people used to get like… those little toys from vending machines and attach those to their phones. it was cute– smartphones should figure out how to reincorporate that.”

“i’m sure there are cases out there that exist where there’s an extra bit that acts like that but.... it’s just not the same,” isis sighed

“i will admit, that’d be pretty funny. people getting all hyped up about what is next, and it just being nothing special. that’s kind of iconic.”

“don’t say that! what if that’s the group i end up in? i debut, and it’s in the group you think is nothing special? that’s so mean...”

“me either– and i’m me,” jinjoo laughed. “i was a pretty poor rapper. i look back on the songs i did with my old groups and cringe. especially now that i’m next to byulah.”

“hey, at least you can recognize it! i know my sister gets mad at like... objectively bad rappers who pretend like they’re not that bad all the time,” isis pointed out

“you’re right. and for a company that’s whole thing is being innovative, how do you even innovate beyond that?”

“maybe the innovation is in scaling back. like, they release their first ever normal group, and that’s innovative to them,” isis laughed

“real talk– do you think new age is going to ever debut another girl group ever again? or are they going to keep feeding new girls into byulbit?”

“i don’t know. like, i can’t see how byulbit could just go on forever. but also i feel like anything after byulbit would just be underwhelming,” isis admitted

“i’d assume we both will. new age seems to be all in on this project, and i’m sure all new resources– including trainees– will be going that direction for at least the next few years.”

“god... few years. i wonder how big byulbit’s going to end up being...” isis admitted, eyes wide. “there could end up being hundreds of members by the end of it...”

“a lot of people have told me that. or that we sound like when fifth harmony was stuck in their girl power phase. and like…..i’m not mad by it because i really like our stuff but…. holy shit.”

“no, i get you. it’s probably such a weird realization to come to,” isis giggled. “i think you guys are way better than kidzbop, though. if that’s anything.”

“you’re welcome! have you thought about getting like…a pop socket or a strap or something? those make ‘em easier to hang onto…” mirae lied smoothly

“i had a pop socket for a while, but then i got a new case and couldn’t salvage it,” isis admitted. “i really wish phones still had like...those things you could loop straps onto. those were so cute.”
