Iâve always wanted to travel. Fortunately, my family had the opportunity to go up the north of Luzon Island to experience the rocky and windy  Ilocos Sur and Norte. You know what they say, âwalang madaling courseâ (thereâs no such thing as an easy course). College brings with it one of the biggest decisions youâll make in your life. If I were to rank these decisions in life, marriage being first of course, Iâd say itâs second. This big decision is what differentiates college from both elementary and high school. And whatâs that? Choosing your course.Â
Choosing your course is a test itself. Last year, I had a hard time deciding which course Iâd take. I applied for Accountancy, Psychology and even Philosophy that I didnât realize that they all required extremely high entrance tests grade. I tell you, avoid quota courses at all costs unless youâre really sure about it and willing to exert a lot of effort. Going back, itâs a test itself since itâll measure your deciding skills and your commitment to your choices. The results? Well the next 4 years will answer that.Â
Although the wind blew my fate into somewhere I didnât expect it to, I still found myself enjoying the course I am taking at the moment. In fact, obviously, itâs one of my blogâs assets! If I werenât to have taken ECE, maybe Tagakwentang Litratista or Sikolohistang Litratista or worst Pilosopong Litratista would be my blogâs title right now. Hahaha!
Iâve already finished my first year in college and I can say that Iâve seen a quarter of my college life and for that Iâd like to point out some of the things I enjoy being an engineering student.
1. No memorization
Yes! Say goodbye to those biology with its anatomy stuff and also those lessons from history which are taught again and again with the same old story from first grade up to high school. I mean, history is very significant and in fact Iâm a fan of it. I believe that only history will determine the future of our nation, though. But, come on, theyâre just one of the most cumbersome subjects to review.Â
2. Less drama
Being an almost all guy-course, you would be surprised that your life has never been this calm. No more people who are judging you for what you look like going to school or people who are getting bored  that they secretly bring you down when they are at a low point in their lives. Engineering students are too busy being productive that they have no time for dramas in life. All you can hear from them is âtara review tayo ng Math!â
3. Easy to get along with blockmates
Stereo typically speaking, guys are easier to get along with than girls. Again, being an almost all guy-course, engineering students are very easy to get along with. Having difficult lessons is enough to start a topic with them. Donât worry, itâs not only you whoâs having a hard time figuring out whatâs on the board. Trust me, whenever your prof is discussing, 80% of the class pretend to grasp the lesson! My point is that you can converse and exchange opinions with engineering students with any topic under the sun which means more friends.
4. Understanding profs
Engineering profs are easy to get along with, too. Iâm guessing theyâve gone through the same stage as engineering students are right now thatâs why. Haha. Itâs just that they know how to make a quite difficult problem into something interesting and fun problem. Interesting lessons + higher probability of learning = creativity level + engineering prof!
5. Youâre in demand
Lastly, youâre a future engineer and after you graduate, whether you like it or not, youâre in demand. Own it! Itâs high time that all the hardships be paid off.
I started using an iPhone back from two years ago. Before that, my first Apple product was an iPod touch. My phone back then was an Xperia from Sony which I personally loved for its great camera. Come January of that year, I got an iPhone 4.
Main reasons why I opted for an iPhone was itâs ease of use, security and yes, the camera. Donât get me wrong, Android is also easy to use and very customizable (which for me is the top advantage compared to iOS.) Going back, I got my phone from Smart that day of January 23, 2013 (good memory haha.) I immediately went to the nearest shop which offers cases for that model. And then behold, I was so stunned at how many millions of different cases I could buy for my iGadget!
I collected almost 14 different cases for my iPhone 4 and  used them for two years. I also give away some of them occasionally to my friends since I donât use them all the time. Now I own a 6 and is starting to collect again! Haha. Yeah, itâs  my obsession! But donât worry, the money I use to pay come from my allowance.  So where do I buy my cases? If youâre just like me whoâs tired of going to the mall, checking for new stock of phone cases, well I recommend you buying online at

PROS:
FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Yes, you read it right! Tmart offers free shipping worldwide. No minimum items needed. You pay exactly how much your items are priced at (plus tax, of course). Â
TONS OF CHOICES. They got a lot of varieties of cases especially for iPhones and Samsungs. Other than that, they also offer different techie stuff for your needs.Â
CHEAP PRICE. Price ranges from as low as 80Php (for clear jelly cases) and as high as 1000Php (for battery cases). Donât worry about the quality of their cases, theyâre fairly good for their price!
GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. You can inquire to their online customer service through chat anytime of the day. They are willing to help you on your queries. âI had my experience with their customer service one time. I ordered a battery case for my 4 and the first item that they shipped was faulty. I asked them to reship another one for me and I got it after 3 weeks. Apparently, Iâm still not satisfied with the second item until I asked them again to ship another one which happened to suit me at last! This brought me into joy, somehow, since I had three battery cases! Tmart just proved that theyâre really a trustworthy online shop which lives up to their customersâ satisfaction.
CONS:
SLOW SHIPPING. I usually get my orders 3 weeks after I placed them. Sometimes it takes me a month which is quite frustrating. But nonetheless, have patience my friends! Your cases will come in no time.Â
EXPENSIVE TAX FROM POST OFFICE. This one isnât the fault of neither the supplier nor the courier. Our Bureau of Customs is the one responsible for such high taxes. An amount of 100Php is required before claiming your items! I personally donât know where they intend to put that tax for, I just hope it goes for the betterment.Â
CREDIT CARD REQUIRED. This is a major disadvantage for those who do not have credit cards. I also donât own one and what I do is borrow from my mom. However, I made a Paypal account for easier transactions.Â
LOW QUALITY PRODUCTS (some). I still havenât tried any electronic products from them so I canât assure you if theyâre good at that. But as far as cases are concerned, yes, theyâre really nice and fashionable.Â
