BREAKING: New Age Turns Heads With Recent Signings
New Age Media was once again the talk of the town at the end of 2022, and while that is nothing new for the innovative label, it was in a whole new avenue.
Gaming Insiders reported that many major esports teams across many games had been bought out of their existing contracts, and signed in some way to one of New Age’s subsidiaries, New Dream Media. These titles include Apex Legends, Valorant, Overwatch, and League of Legends. These teams hailed from all over eastern Asia (not just South Korea), and most noteably, every team had at least one female-identifying player on the roster.
With the success of teams such as the Valkyries-- an Apex Legends roster under Siren Entertainment-- it’s not a huge surprise that New Age might want to get in on the action too. However, insiders insist that the timing and scale is weird; with New Age signing so many teams, over various rosters, all at once? It’s almost unheard of.
These teams have carried out their usual gaming obligations since being signed, but many insiders have advised to keep a close eye on the teams, and on New Age for new developments, because something big is coming.

CHART NEWS
Starr’s Wish You Were Here was an un-promoted special memorial release, therefore did not appear on charts.
Reflexion’s I’ll Find You performed averagely for the group, with fans hoping it’s enough to keep Liberty from punishing them in the new year
Sola’s Obsession performed adequately, and while was not as big of a hit as past songs, was acceptable considering her scandals of the past year
Rejectz’s Luv U topped charts, and was praised for being an unconventional hit
Coven’s LIE topped all 8 charts, knocking Rejectz out of top positions they might have otherwise claimed
Sookie’s Weather charted very well, but not as well as it otherwise might have had Rejectz not so recently been on the charts as well, with much of the fandom focusing on the streams of the full group release
Violetta’s Can We Talk Again did not perform as strongly as some of their past releases, but resonated well with trot crowds and casual listeners, giving it a strong chart presence regardless
Byulbit : Lyncis’ 3 2 1 topped charts in Thailand, notably knocking Sumi’s former group, Daizee, from a record-breaking chart run, leading to hate from Daizee fans
Seyeon’s No Jam did adequately on charts, but was a big hit on TikTok, and became the theme song for a new variety show debuting in January
Juno’s Dr Bebe joined Rejectz and Coven at the top of the charts
Rewind’s Christmasssy was a big hit with elementary and middle school demographics, which boosted its’ numbers largely
Sera’s Baby I Hate Me Now did not perform as expected on the charts, but captivated international audiences, and did exceedingly well on Spotify

Spotlight soloist and former Haze member, Sona, released another song today-- marking her first official comeback in a year, and first appearance since her special collaboration with DK a few months back! In the shadowy MV, Sona has a secret love affair. "Secreto" means 'secret' in Spanish, and it's a dreamy, sexy track with Spanish guitar and rhythmic beats about hidden feelings between a man and a woman.
OCTOBER 4 - Byulbit : Auriga Dazzle in New Comeback!
Byulbit’s Korean unit is back for more! Their new digital single, Dazzle Dazzle, is a song that combines hip hop and moombahton to become a hybrid dance track, sure to get stuck in your head all day long! The music video shows the members having a ritual for all things that dazzle. This is the first official comeback since the completion of Idol Project: Reboot, in which member, Isis, competed!
OCTOBER 7 - Unity’s G1 Makes Solo Comeback
Unity member and L3THAL rapper, G1, made an official solo comeback today! Her discography has garnered a lot of interest from fans and onlookers alike, with her songs having two distinct sounds. Her self-produced tracks often are released and special mixtape tracks, with songs produced by her mentor Jett being promoted like a typical solo kpop song. Her new song, My Number, is the latter! With bombastic, colorful costumes, and eye-catching props, G1 dares you to come look at her in her new music video.

The popular TRAXX subunit is back and dressed to kill in their new release! TRAXX-F members went all out with a bolder, fiercer look and sound than ever before in their new title track, Under Cover, which is an engaging fusion of rock and hip-hop sounds to make something wild and charismatic. Fans are starting to feel burnt, however, with many saying that this unit is basically all TRAXX does anymore, and that TRAXX should just disband and let TRAXX-F be the group for the members who still want to perform.
SEPTEMBER 29 - Trinity Make Fierce Return with YESSIR
Higher’s youngest girl group has returned and are badder than ever! The group's new single fuses EDM with hip-hop, augmented by an aggressive brass and drum sound, and in the music video for the track, the members can be seen wearing military uniform-inspired outfits, a nod to the anthem vibe of the single's sound. This is the first official comeback from the trio since Leader, Hayoon, was a finalist on Idol Project: Reboot, so fans are expecting big things from this promotion cycle
