Minor rant/ramble below the cut (a scandalous take?). Also Chapter 5 spoilers, if you haven't played it yet
As much as I enjoy the Flowers from Chapter 5, I hope that it doesn't become the main consensus of the UTDR fandom that these interpretations of the human SOULs are what's canon to the UT universe. I know that's an audacious thing to say, especially as an UTY fan, but I feel like it's because I am an UTY fan that I have the audacity to say it. I'm glad that these characters have renewed interest in the human SOULs in the Undertale universe and people are making AUs and exploring what the other Fallen Childrens' journeys through the Underground could have been like, but I don't want people to fixate on the flowers as being "the more correct interpretation" to the point that if somebody else has their own interpretation of the Fallen Children (in terms of their characterization/story/journey/etcetera), that their interpretation is treated as wrong and is scorned because it doesn't perfectly imitate Aqua/Seth/Yellow/Blue/Green/Orange. I feel like the UTDR fandom has room for many interpretations of the Fallen Children to exist, whether they're fan game popular (like Clover from Undertale Yellow and Sunny from Undertale: Cooking with Kindness) or are based on the DR flowers or are your own personal interpretations of the Fallen Humans.
