"I never thought I'd live to see the day you quit smoking." Wanda smiled, cocking her head to the side a bit as she looked at the older mutant. It surprised her that Logan had quit smoking, but she was quite proud of him for taking the initiative to quit smoking.

"No more fun from me, I guess."

With face concealed from view, it was difficult to gauge how the spider-brat quip landed, but a pronounced crease did emerge near the vicinity of his mouth. After some reconsideration, he finally managed to keep his trap shut for the first time since getting entangled in this mess, if only to to differentiate himself from Parker and the others.

Hearing nothing himself beyond the usual background sounds of leaking pipes and creaking structures, he steps closer to a crack in a nearby wall, on alert for any threats that stalked the grounds outside.

"--I said shut your--!"

Dripping water from rusty shaking pipes were the most prominent normal sounds for a run down place like this, made of mostly concrete. But that's what whoever was here was banking on. Logan hears more, farther down the way than most anyone else. He can smell something coming. Driving a slight quiver of a snarl to peak at the corner of his top lip.

Fists clench one final time, metal shearing its way through old calloused hands in one quick motion. Subtle enough, and quickly healed away, blood trickles down at the middle of his knuckles.

“I forgot my lighter, you don’t happen to have a light on you?”

"Says the one charging in blindly." The request was perfectly clear, the sort that he'd usually heed without the need for debate. Only, this time, he had failed to resist the urge to pass comment, jabbing his pointer finger in the hirsute mutant's direction as he carried on speaking without pause.

"No. Sometimes I punch it. Which yer 'bout to experience if you don't shut the hell up--" An animals snarl almost, burning fury less at the other man and more against memories lashing out in his mind. Charging in blindly. Slashing away at his problems. Knuckles flex absently, repeatedly. Hands were shaky at best, trembling in full force at worst.
