My running diary

I got bitten (well, only kind of scratched really) by a dog.

I went for a run today, first one after a week, even though it was cold and kind of raining, and this was my reward! And it was really weird, because the dog was on a leash and it came to me really slowly and it wasn't growling or barking or anything, it just came to me, and I thought it just wanted to say hi, and I was ready to go all "hi, dog!" and then it bit me.

And I was so shocked that I just ran away without saying anything while the owner was scolding it, I didn't even ask if it had its rabies shots, and I'm really angry with myself for that. Because that means that I have to call anti-rabies clinic tomorrow and I'll probably have to get 5 vaccination shots even though the skin is only a tiny little bit broken and I doubt I even came into contact with the dog's saliva. And on the other hand I feel really stupid even going because it's just a scratch (it looks a bit worse now because the bruising has developed and the picture was taken right after I came home) but come on, it's nothing. But then I did some googling and I called my doctor who said that every bite has to be reported, even if the skin isn't broken at all, but I really really hope that they say everything is fine and I don't have to get the shots.

There, I went for a run. No photos, because it was to cold and I didn't feel like stopping. And I know it's only 3 km, but in this weather I'm counting it as success that I even went.

Another sunny run yesterday! Not much to tell, I went with my sister, it was nice, the weather was nice, everything was nice. Oh, and my sister gave me a full body massage after (she went to a course and now she has to keep on practicing so she doesn't forget everything), which was especially nice :)
