A rest day yesterday getting ready for today's anticipated tough workout, a 3 x 2 mile intervals on the track. Unfortunately the track wasn't opened when I arrived there this morning. So ended up doing the workout in the park, on a 2 mile loop road. The 2 mile reps were in 12:55, 13:12, 13:30 with a 4 minute rest walk/jog between reps.
Very happy with the workout. The road loop had some hills and the sun, especially in the last 2 mile, was beating down hard. Very tired afterwards during the slow 'cool down' back home. After a brief rest, added on a strength workout. Will sleep well tonight.
