Ed and I (a female american 27 years of age) are in this together. [have been since I was 13] I have handed over the reigns to Ed. Ed will be directing the show from here. [started tumblr in Jun 2010]~~ I am supposed to be in recovery, but Ed and I renewed our vows. I am his, and his for the taking. ~~ I am going to ignore Ed for awhile and see where it gets me. ~~Oops I guess I forgot that Ed won't let me forget who is boss. Shit.~~I’m diving into the hole to binge & purge my way to Ed at the bottom.~on court ordered treatment for the next year [Dec 2011] (which just means if I don't take my meds I could be sent back to the hospital) ~~ I'm actually trying to change the narrative I live my life by and so far it's been the hardest struggle for my life, the life without Ed or behaviors. ~~ Court Order Over! [2012] ~~ Therapist says I am in remission from Bulimia ~~ Run Ed, Run was originally about my obsession with running and my half heart-ed attempt to acknowledge my eating disorder. It turned into an exercise obsession, purging, and dealing with my flashbacks. I started seeing a therapist regularly in Dec 2011. Then life continued to happen and so did this blog.

the worst thing about growing up is when you realise that a lot of the big important fundamental existential questions that you used to have the obviously only RIGHT answer to just keep getting more complex and difficult and the only people actually do have easy fix answers are either children or trying to sell you something

^----So true!!!!! Well ok, I don't know for sure it is, "the worst thing about growing up,"it could be one of the many terrible things. I say that because I enjoy being challenged and having to think for awhile and know my answer is still not quite right.

Godwin’s Law: A Corollary

Many of you may be familiar with Godwin’s Law: the claim that the longer a discussion goes on online, the more likely it is that Hitler will be invoked.

I just had an exchange with a Facebook acquaintance that BEGAN with Hitler: she posted a photo of Hitler with an alleged quote next to a photo of Hillary Clinton with an alleged and similar quote. She then claimed Clinton was horrible. She subsequently defended her posting across several rounds of back and forth.

Which leads me to a corollary to Godwin’s Law: the quicker one invokes Hitler in an argument, the WORSE one’s argument is. Immediate invocation of Hitler is an immediate fail of an argument … unless, I guess, the argument is ABOUT Hitler.

Let's see...what did I do this week?

Had my port placed, found out I was severely anemic, and I couldn't talk straight no matter how hard I tried. I had chemo on Thursday and more blood. Oh and this time I know I'm O-. I'm tired and sick now. I realize I should write in this more often.
