“i almost forgot that your mom was a teacher here until i remembered i was in her class.” the boy said with a laugh as he turned his attention to rumor. they’d been hanging out quite a bit lately, even going out on a picnic date. honestly kieran didn’t even think she’d accept let alone continue to want to be around him, now he’d be around her mother as well. did she know about their date? was she going to kill him? maybe she’d like him instead, usually moms had the tendency to like him but they were never actively grading him. “did you not want your mother teaching you or was transfiguration the problem? he teased.
rumor turns her attention from the book in her lap to the boy next to her at the sound of kieran’s voice, lips curling into an amused smile. “i do, too, sometimes. you would think i’d be used to it but every time i see her in a corridor i’m surprised.” she does make a mental note that kieran is in her class again this year, and though rumor isn’t she doesn’t doubt that she’ll hear about it from her mother, soon. if her memory serves her correctly, she’s not the only walsh with a fondness for kieran. “oh, i don’t know. she’s a great teacher, i just already spend so much time with her and watching her in action, i’ve got her transfiguration down, you know?” and then, quieter like it’s a secret, “and between you and me, i think roman has always been her favorite.”
