Game of the Week- Dominion. Although there are many great games, only a few are innovative enough to create a whole new genre. Dominion is one such game, which introduced the now-popular deck-building mechanic. In Dominion, 2-4 players buy cards to build their own personal deck in an attempt to craftily grab the most victory points.Each game uses 10 action cards which are drawn from a total of 24, allowing for thousands of different variants, meaning no two games are likely to ever feel the same. Simple rules disguise incredible depth, where spotting clever card combinations is key to victory.Dominion is a true modern classic, often imitated but rarely in our opinion improved upon. Five years on from its original release, its still one of our most-loved and most-played games (especially when looking for a great fast 2-player game). Game of the Week - Pix. Pix is a picture-guessing party game for 4-9 players with a difference – you don’t have to be able to draw! With a delightful retro pixel-art style, each turn groups of players attempt to create a picture of a specified object using magnetic ‘pixels’ on a 9×9 metal grid. The first player to correct identify the image wins points along with the relevant creator. In a cunning twist, images are revealed in order of the total number of pixels used, so for the greatest chance of winning big, you have to think small! Game of the Week- Star Trek Attack Wing. After a long wait, we’ve finally got our hands on the new Star Trek game, and are happy to announce that its even better than we hoped for. Using the same system as the brilliant Star Wars: X-Wing, you now have the opportunity to create your dream battles between Star Fleet, the Klingons, Romulans and more. Fast and easy to pickup, but with great gameplay, its fair enough to say that we’re hooked. Game of the Week - River Dragons. Joining classics such as Survive: Escape From Atlantis and Ticket to Ride as a game that works equally well with gamers as with families and friends, we’re vey happy to finally have the brilliant River Dragons back on the shelves. In the game, 2-6 players are attempting to cross the mighty Mekong, but danger lurks in the shape of the legendary River Dragons. Each turn, players secretly select 5 cards, which are then revealed to determine your actions. Through placing stones, bridges, moving your character and even stealing other players’ bridges, you’ll attempt to cross the river yourself while thwarting your opponents’ efforts. An easy-to-learn and stunning to look at game with a great mix of strategy (and viciousness), River Dragons is an absolute blast with players of all ages. Game of the Week- Commands & Colours: Ancients. Epic in scope but highly accessible, Commands & Colours: Ancients allows  2 players to recreate famous battles between the warring factions of Rome and Carthage. A great introduction to modern wargaming, players must make careful tactical use of command cards to manoeuvre their troops on their battlefield. The game contains numerous scenarios  based on historical battles, while also giving you the freedom to create your own. Easy to pick-up, fast to play and most importantly great fun, Command & Colours comes very highly recommended. In Victorian London, a serial killer is on the loose, and the name of Jack the Ripper fills the hearts of Londoners with terror. In Letters from Whitechapel, one player takes on the role of the notorious killer, while 2-5 others are detectives, determined to bring him to justice. Jack’s movements around London are hidden, and his location must be worked out by the deductive powers of the other players in a tense race against the clock. Letters from Whitechapel feels like a sophisticated descendant of the classic Scotland Yard, and is brimming with macabre atmosphere.
