History Never Repeats

A short taste of my dissertation on the junto blog, not quite word-for-word, not quite an abstract.  What exactly is the nature of a federal union?  Lets consider together...

Very noble, but the characters lack definition... (see what I did there?)  

An inmate came across a book by an history professor I know and it inspired him to change his priorities.  The article is written by the former-inmate and is an expression of his own abilities and the real impact that a good monograph can have in the right circumstances.

Kill some time, add archival assistant to your CV (slightly embellished).

Only slightly sensationalized, the physical pyramids are being uncovered the old-fashioned way, but the sites are being chosen, in part, by examining infrared images.  The still-buried buildings vary in density from surrounding soil and create a different signature in the images, allowing archaeologists to better target their digs. 

Disappointing, though this always seemed something of an ambitious, idealistic project.

Now I've only had the 3rd hottest pepper known to man.  What a difference a few months makes.  Homer has a new nemesis.  

The super-volcano that is Yellowstone National Park apparently has a much bigger footprint than previously believed, according to new mapping data.  Take that dinosaurs...I mean, humanity.
