But then you've got Harry, who was known as the guy that attracts trouble. At Hogwarts wild stuff constantly happened to him and people regularly wanted to kill him. Then he became an Auror so he witnessed what dark magic could do, and investigated crimes every day at his job. Obviously Harry is also the reason Voldemort died and why death eaters/pure blood supremacists are probably looked down upon by most people; he probably has sent a lot of criminals to Azkaban too. Therefore Harry has made a lot of enemies that probably want revenge. And James, Albus & Lily are famous among wizards (because of their parents).

Harry knows his children are targets (for malicious ppl), and he knows well all the horrible stuff that people can do to each other, with and without magic. And he doesn't want more people to die "because of him" (survivor's guilt).

So he's surely terrified of something happening to his children. Harry is surely very overprotective.
