Bethesda should implement a hug feature for companions into their future games (or just add it to Fallout 4 as an update PLEASE) and have it where your companions react to the hugs differently based on your affinity with them.
Like if y'all just met and are kinda just Neutral they're like "...bro what—" but then if they idolize you they're like "Ah okay haha fine..." and hug you back
And depending on the character their responses are more excited or more tense but literally PLEASE I NEED THIS
Nick Valentine when y'all just met: Oh, I uh— *awkward pat* I suppose you're having a hard time adjusting, huh..?
Nick Valentine when he idolizes you, hugging back a bit awkwardly but gently and smiling some: Heh, aren't you an affectionate one.

They could even be very awkward or frustrated if your affinity with them is not so good. I DON'T KNOW I JUST WANT IT SO BAD TODD PLEASE I'M BEGGING YOU!
