“Ruby!” Sapphire rushes in for a hug. “I’m right here.”

“Sapphire!!” Ruby hugged her tightly and spun her a little. “Where have you been?”

Sapphire smiled at the her partner. “I was busy. You wouldn’t have wanted to be there, though. It was very brisk.” She didn’t want to hurt her feelings telling her she was actually herself not able to fully forgive Pearl for what she had done.

“Brisk or not! I always wanna go with you!” Ruby crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow. “Are you suuuuure?”

“Yes.” Sapphire didn’t feel good not telling her everything. All she could think about was when this would finally blow over. “I am sorry that you couldn’t be with me,” Sapphire murmured to Ruby.

A small sigh escaped Ruby’s lips and she smiled lightly. “Aw, it’s okay Sapphy!” She kissed her love lightly on the cheek. “Just don’t be afraid to tell me”
