Here's the Whimsey Box for October, and not to mention, my FIRST one-- FINALLY! I was completely excited and kept checking my tracking confirmation number to see when it'd be delivered. Haha. 

Whimsey Box is one of the least expensive craft subscription boxes and each month they feature one DIY project. Check my previous post about the subscription box for prices. =)

My first impression of the Whimsey Box was that it's nicely put together and neat. 

I loved the fact that included was a very detailed description of how to get the project done. This month's craft is to sew together a felt pouch/clutch. So I'll come back later this weekend to let you guys know how the project went! Most likely, I'll update Saturday or Sunday, after this year's Halloween festivities. ;)

Inside the box included: 2 7/16" Nickel Sew-On Snaps, 1 Size 5 Crewel Embroidery Needle, 1 9x12" 100% Wool Felt, 1 9x12" 70% Wool Felt, 2 Skeins of 100% Egyptian Cotton -- 6 ply Presencia Mouline Floss, and 1 Sewing Pattern... Oh, and a cute little notebook pad!

Yes, I know... I fell off the face of the Earth with Tumblr, but here I am! And here's a update.

I've decided to drop Birchbox since they're so damn shitty! And I picked up a new subscription!  I'll definitely update more often with my subscriptions to Ipsy, Barkbox, and now...Whimsey Box! All summer long I was talking to my boyfriend about getting crafty again, and I wanted and planned to start designing clothes, making clothes, and thrifting then re-making clothes into something better. I've always been the crafty type of person and lately, I haven't had much time to do ANYTHING at all these days... so I figured by PAYING for a subscription, it'll get me in the mood and force me into getting back into it. Lol. So yup, my first box arrives by the end of October, so I'll definitely come back and update on here. PROMISE! Especially since I'm not attending school at the moment.

So, this is my first post on here and what other to do than to introduce myself right?

Well, hey! My name is Jessica P. and I am currently 20 years old. BUT! In 18 days, I'll finally be 21 years old! *does the happy dance* Haha. Anyways, I currently reside in New Orleans, LA  where I'm studying to be a pediatric nurse. I just always had a passion for helping people and I love kids. So, it only makes sense to become a pediatric nurse in my eyes!

On my free time, I enjoy messing around with makeup and experimenting with new looks. I definitely WOULD NOT call myself a "guru" to say the least, but instead, I'm simply and slowly learning the basics. I have two dogs, Ruby and Paisley. Ruby is my very sassy, bossy, but beautiful and sweet Siberian Husky who is now 1 year, 3 months, and 4 days old. Paisley on the other had is my humble, adorable, bubbly, and jolly, more recent puppy that we (my boyfriend and I) decided to adopt as of last week! We're not sure what exactly she is nor how old she is, but our best bet is that she is a Pitbull/Mountain Cur Mix who is no older than 6 months. But, we'll see when we bring her to the vet!

To wrap things up, the purpose of me creating this Tumblr is to write reviews on my subscriptions to Barkbox, Birchbox, and Ipsy bags. Of course it won't be just that though. Here and there, I'll be posting random pictures that I take, thoughts, quotes, and etc. So I hope you guys enjoy!
