Dearest fans/friends: Vocalist Tim Johnson is no longer the singer for Ruby Eyes. It has been quite a journey getting the band to where it is. Without going into details, the parting of ways was the best decision to keep Ruby Eyes moving forward. Yutaka, O’Grady and Matt wish Tim all the best on his musical journey, and are pleased to call him a friend. Tim’s personal music can be seen through his facebook, and R.E. looks forward to supporting his endeavors. An amicable, mutual decision was reached between band members. This was followed by an exhaustive search for a vocalist. After several awkward auditions (including one guy whose goal in life was to destroy socks as a thing used by people…seriously…) Leslie Wyatt walked into our studio and knocked our socks off. Fearing we’d please the anti-sock guy, we quickly put our socks back on and offered Leslie the gig. All old Ruby Eyes songs have been retired, leaving us excited to share our new music with you.
Ruby Eyes will continue as the highly energetic rock band you've known all along, just with new songs and brighter socks.
