Simon studies in the University of physics and technology, NYC. His life wasn’t tough from the beginning, no: he was raised in a loving family, but his mother died of illness. Then everything fell apart. His dad, mourning, started drinking too much, changed his character, and Simon grew even more distant with people than he was before. He really loved his mom, he was too attached to her. It was difficult for him to cope with the loss. As it appeared, when his father took him to a physiatrist, he had a long-lasting depression. Simon was reluctant to cure it, reluctant to do anything. There were even attempts to end all of this, but he couldn’t — he was too scared, too weak.
He didn’t have friends, faced bullying, The two things that saved him were music and drawing.

Samuel (it’s a pseudonym, his REAL name is Manuel) is Mexican, he was born and raised there. When he was 12, his parents decided to go for it: they crossed the border of USA in hope of a new life. Sadly, they were both killed by an accident: a soldier happened to be too brutal. Manuel managed to escape, but what could he do without them? He struggled to survive, and short after a man found him. He offered food, rest, and then drove him to LA on his truck. He was said that his name was now Samuel, something more American-like. He was sold, not even knowing that.
Uncle Rick — that’s how everyone called him. He submitted children and teenagers to extreme abuse, but posed as a ‘good man’ only because he let them stay and eat well. I don’t even wanna imagine what Manuel was put through. He was only a child. Years passed, at the age of 15 he escaped with a help of a girl he was ‘kind of’ in love with, Jenny. He didn’t know if this was love or a family-like attachment, because his mental health and all the feelings were messed up.
So, he escaped and fled by busses to NYC. He didn’t have legal documents, couldn’t properly read in English, couldn’t do anything but what he was taught to do. The trauma left him with extreme PTSR and, as it appeared further, BPD. He started selling his body just to survive, and then Williams appeared. He was a really good man who offered him shelter, not demanding anything in return(!). He treated his health a little, taught how to speak English better.
Another three years passed — Sam just turned 18. He continued his ‘work’ because it became a cycle that he couldn’t get out of. Was he worth anything without his body? He thought, that he wasn’t. He wasn’t capable of anything else. He was on the ‘hunt’ when he met Simon. He deemed him as an easy catch, got a little closer, just for one evening made Simon think that he was interested in him as a person, and then offered it. Simon was baffled, but he agreed as Sam became the first person to really ‘see him’ this quick. Sam was the one who made him feel anything for a long time — anger, lust, fear, sadness, happiness.
Simon was told to pay only in the morning. He was shocked, hurt that all of this wasn’t true and left. But eventually he returned to pay and to experience this one more time. And one more, more — he became unhealthily attached to Sam. He wanted to know more about him, his true personality, but Samuel thought that Simon was the same as others. Yeah, he was right: Simon hurt him only by buying, because he continued the cycle. He wasn’t any different.
But Simon really fell in love with him, TRUE him, and didn’t know how to get out of this client-worker relationship. He didn’t want sex, he wanted to talk and to get closer to Sam — this was too intimate for Manuel. More intimate than all the stuff he did, so he pushed Simon away. Then returned, then pushed once more. On and on.
There are no good or bad guys. These two are equally complex. None of the sufferning Sam has gone through is romanticiced❕
