so the Jedi are a pseudo-religious organization, considering they follow the Will of the Force and are devoted to it. And Anakin is literally the child of the Force and could be considered a demi-deity to an extent.

Basically I just want Obi-Wan to be fucking weird as shit about it and to focus all his devotion on Anakin. I can't recall if Obi-Wan knew the whole "immaculate conception" thing and just thought he was the Chosen One because of Qui-Gon. But I'm picturing him finding out that he's literally the child of the force when Anakin is like 19 and it just shaking his whole world view.

I think it's ridiculous that old man Empire Strikes Back Obi-Wan was genuinely out there looking at his best friend's son and remembering Anakin's crooked smile and messy hair and the look on his face when he saw rain for the first time and his hatred for vegetables and tendency to lose his lightsaber and his night owl habits and that he blushed on the nape of his neck (hello) and he's calling him his "beautiful friend" like man do you need a minute alone
