Laura eyed Lidia. Was the term ‘girls’ really that bad? Must of been a preference thing, pretty extreme, but whatever, they looked pissed now and that was more fun. Laura grinned. “Ya feelin’ like givin’ ‘im that black eye yurself now?” Asking as she cracked her knuckles.
Shit! He’d messed up bad, it only took a second for Egyn to see his mistake, to see just where he’d messed up this time. As his face continued to pale, continued to grow afraid of what was to come, the water demon swallowed shakily as words next to inaudible slipped from trembling lips.
“L-Lidia…I…I a-a-apologize…Umm….p-please do n-not attack me…L-Laura…w-why…what…w-what was wrong w-with my eyes to…to have you w-want to a-attack me…?”
Lidia glanced at this Laura person for a moment, deciding whether to answer her or not. “Just one.”
Lidia immediately moved to bend the king’s left arm behind him and whispered into his ear in that haunting, melodic voice that gave away their siren abilities.
‘Hush, don’t speak. When you spit your venom keep it shut. I hate it when you hiss and preach.’ Lidia glanced over at Laura as they held the demon king tight.
‘Hit him with your best shot! Fire away!!’
