so you’ve been roleplaying for years… things change, the way the community does things shift, and sometimes there’s new skills you need to pick up and adjust to in order to make your time rping as creatively rich and fulfilling as it can be. one of those things that’s become extremely important is plotting & hcing. either in groups, in indie, or doing 1x1s, these two are the foundation to your interaction (unless you’re the type to wing it). sometimes when i interact with people, it seems they don’t really click with this process, so in the guide below, i’ll help to explain why these are so important, and how to do it in a way that not only gives you a rich plot, but helps inspire and keep your writing partner engaged with you.

disclaimer — this is just my personal experience and opinions being shared. i am not the end-all-be-all on how to interact with writing partners. this is just here to get people to begin thinking about things they otherwise wouldn’t have thought about.

Don’t worry; half of the faceclaims on my masterlist didn’t suddenly vanish. I just decided to split the FC masterlist on @bunchoffaceclaims into two parts. Why? Well, because the blog now features over 3,000 faceclaims, so I’m hoping this will help cut down on the loading time.

I was asked by this lovely anon to make a list of underused fcs & I thought it was a great idea & so here we are ! under the cut you will find underused fcs ( + their gif hunt tags ) sorted by AGE. there is a grand total of 36 all together. / more will eventually be added over time !

SECRETS MASTERLIST

i think we’re all tired of having our characters have the same dirty little secrets. so here are some realistic secrets you can use for your characters. i am putting an overall trigger and mature warning on this. they’re in the sections of: lighthearted, hardcore, family, involving others, criminal, embarrassing, sexual, romantic, and other..

scared your secret isn’t creative - change it up! it mentions drugs? change it to sex or alcohol. something mentions family? turn that into a romantic secret! the options are endless if you change details.

ALRIGHT, so when it comes to ‘secrets’ roleplays, the thing that always turns me away is that having a group full of characters who have all accidentally hit someone with their car, been arrested, or had a secret baby can be a lot. So below the cut you will find a list of secrets that are interesting and you can have fun with, but are more ‘everyday’ plots opposed to super dramatic ‘life changing ones’.
