"He got us to shore...we even rescued the boat and the catch...but I was so scared. You told me not to, and I shoudl've listened!" She exclaimed.
âOh auntie⌠youâre home safeâŚâ she whispered. âCaleb kept you safe, didnât he?â
Sally nodded. "He put me straight in the lifeboat...he did it all right" She promised.
âGood. He kept you safe. He put you firstâ Enid said seriously
"Yes. But I...I was so scared...I was so scared I wouldn't get home to you!" She cried, destroyed. "I'm sorry!" She felt so guilty.
âItâs alrightâŚ. Donât be sorry auntie, Iâm just so happy youâre safe!â Enid said
Sally nodded. "It was so terrifying!" She exclaimed, clinging on.

Miss Bunting was exhausted. After hearing what happened to the kidnapped Ymbrynes in Ireland, Esmeralda had ended up having another breakdown, and though Miss Bunting felt no better it was once more upon her to keep everything going.
She looked at the students. "Read chapter 51, ndnI will be back soon" she said, knowing that she needed to check on Alma. Since the incident with the knife she was now literally kept under lock and key, something that seemed to upset her. It didn't help that she wanted Esmeralda and not Rosemary, but could have the later.
Sighing, she remembered she had to check on esmeralda too.
The students grumbled quietly. They were getting bored and they missed more hands on class activities.
Miss peregrine was sitting in her room, her face pressed against the window, her eyes glazed.
Miss Bunting was too tired to even try to calm them down, running down the corridor, locking up her room. "Alma, how are you?" She asked, quickly sitting down.
Miss peregrine looked over at her but didnât answer, she just continuidad tk stare out the window.
"Alma, talk to me. I know you refused to eat breakfast and I'm worried." Miss Bunting said. She was too tired to beat around the bush.
âIâm not hungryâ Miss peregrine said. âYou donât have to worryâ
"And how are you feeling otherwise?" Miss Buntif asked. "Any...any more suicidal thoughts?"
âIâm fineâ miss Peregrine shrugged, still staring out the window absently. Her hair was loose and she hadnât brushed it in a while.
"Will you eat lunch later?" Miss Bunting asked. "I can fix your hair if you want."
âAlrightâ Miss Peregrine said quietly. âIâm not hungryâ she added.
"Well you will need to eat something today" she said firmly. "Is there anything you want to eat?" She asked, starting to brush her ling boue-black hair.
Miss peregrine shook her head. âI donât feel like eatingâ she frowned, still gazing into outer space.
"Alma, eating is not negotiable. I will not let you starve yourself to death if rhat is your new trick." She said seriously.
âIâm not hungry Rosemary! Iâm not doing anything!â Miss peregrine said, whipping around to look at her. There were dark circles beneath her eyes.
"Alma...maybe you should lie down and have a nap? I can tuck you in." She siggested sweetly.
