Summary: After his dad’s death, Stiles puts in an extra effort to get his Criminal Justice degree and finish school. He becomes a detective for the Beacon Hills Sheriff’s Department and begins investigating larger crimes. What he didn’t count on, however, was how much mystery lies in his hometown. He quickly finds out that there are some mysteries he shouldn’t solve.

Or that one AU where Stiles is a detective, Derek is still a werewolf, and the government is fucking crazy.

Imagine Chris shining one of his guns when Aiden and Alex walk in one afternoon and Aiden can SMELL the wolfsbane laced through the gun from the bullets and he goes stock still. Alex just sort of looks between them, worrying. And then Chris smiles and tells Alex to do him a favor and grab his other gun from the garage and Alex seems even more worried, so he goes to drag Aiden along, but Chris speaks up, “He can stay.” And as much as Aiden doesn’t want to, he can see the challenge in Chris’s eyes and he knows that if he doesn’t stay, Chris will only hate him more. And so he nods for Alex to go without him and Alex hesitates, looking between the two of them before leaving.

And Aiden doesn’t WANT to talk to Argent. He doesn’t WANT to be trapped in a room with the vile smell of wolfsbane reminding him that Argent could kill him at any moment.

And Argent gets up, his gun still in his hand, and walks slowly toward Aiden, seemingly focused on the gun he’s still shining. And then he proceeds to speak very levelly to Aiden about how he expects Alex to be treated well and Aiden just stands stiffly in the doorway, glaring at the other side of the room as Argent gets closer, the smell of wolfsbane intensifying, and Aiden doesn’t like being threatened, he doesn’t like feeling cornered, and he has to fight the instinct to snarl at the man in front of him. He hears what Argent says, but instead of responding vocally, Aiden merely nods stiffly in agreement.

And then Alex is back and Aiden feels himself relax a bit, but not completely because Argent is still standing in front of him with a gun. And as Alex passes Chris his other gun, his gaze lingers on Aiden and he can tell that something happened while he was gone and he wants to say something, but doesn’t think anyone would answer him if he did.

And Chris just smiles a strained smile and nods, going back to his seat to shine the gun Alex brought him. He glances up at the boys in the doorway with raised eyebrows. “Weren’t you two going to do something?”

And Aiden doesn’t have to be told twice and grabs Alex’s hand, pulling him out of the room until they’re somewhere they can be alone. And Aiden just needs to wash the smell of wolfsbane from his senses, so he pulls Alex into a hug and buries his face into his neck, closing his eyes so he can focus on breathing in Alex’s scent.

*screams with you* oh gods the awkward “hey remember that time you tried to murder me and now my dad is dating your uncle i hate whom i am always prepared to kill” (which sounds like a fucked up teen wolf comedy special xD)
