The Royal Multiverse

Some long overdue Nomad updates. I WAS going to write longer blurbs about these, basically miniature fics... but eh, not really needed just yet.

Celestia is cementing her place as a mentor figure to Twilight, teaching her all the spells she’ll need to know to survive the journey through the mountains. Things like barriers against the wind and snow to what weaknesses the windigos have.

And then later, Twilight gets to practice those spells with Luna. 

Decided to get Spike’s hatching out in a small series of sketches.

When the sisters and Novo went outside to talk, the ever curious Twilight wanted a closer look at the egg. And while she is just as inquisitive as her Prime counterpart, she severely lacks the same level of education about the intricacies of magic.

So when she picked up the egg, she didn’t bother looking for what magic Celestia left on the egg. And like the falling of the first domino, Twilight’s clumsy magic set off a chain reaction.

One blast of uncontrolled magic later and Twilight was looking down at a tiny dragon. The baby was all smiles and cooed and gurgled just like a tiny foal would, reaching up to be picked up. She couldn’t help it, she had to pick him up.

Luna was the first through the door after the magic blast. And to her surprise, there was Twilight holding the baby dragon, looking very nervous.

I fully support anon’s idea of her being captured and enslaved. The rest.... Not as much on board.

I prefer the idea that she escaped, got caught up with the wrong crowd for a while, perhaps some raiders. But when she was commanded to kill a pony slave, she rebelled.

Just writing down all the ideas I have for future AU’s once I wrap up Nomadverse. And yes, they’re pretty much all Twiluna-centric. I am trash. It is known.

GhostAU: (Uses canon-verse. AU to Royal Sketchbook) Twilight turns out to NOT be immortal. And when she passes on, she lingers to make sure Luna will be okay. She conspires with Celestia to make sure Luna takes care of herself and moves on.

Archaeologist-verse: Twilight is straight-up Indiana Jones, a scholar who goes on thrill-filled excursions with Spike as her trusty sidekick. She discovers the remnants of an ancient civilization of odd ponies who had the horns of unicorns, the wings of pegasi and the strength of earth ponies...

Magic Effect:  (Possible future to Royal Sketchbook) Remember that old comic I once tried to do before realizing it was waaaay too much work? Basically the world around it and how MLP and Mass Effect universes merged.

Hidden Village: (Uses canon-verse. AU to Royal Sketchbook)  Twilight, Luna and a retinue of ponies go to the home island of the Minotaurs to deescalate rising tensions with the yaks.But things go south and before they can get off the island, the Minotaurs declare war on Yakyakistan and all their allies, including Equestria. So the princesses work to keep all the ponies who were on the island nation safe. So the ponies go deep into the wilderness and try to survive.

Arranged Marriage: I can’t help myself. I loved @earthsong9405’s Arranged Marriage AU and the general premise of trying to make such an arrangement work. Though this will probably be more akin to Game of Thrones than Earthsong’s AU. Families vie with each other to get their kid married off to one of the immortal, Heavenly sisters to cement their power within the Empire. It is well known they can marry off their sons to Celestia and their daughters to Luna. When one house manages to first get their son married off to an adopted imperial niece and then their daughter to one of the co-empresses, the other noble houses are not happy.

They do. Well, they each hold out some hope that she escaped her captors but they fear the worst. So they built a small cairn for her and adorned it with any wild flowers they could find.
