Sharp Turn of Events
Oh boy. It really is bad news. He doesn’t need to sit down to remain calm so he continues standing and listens to the terrible news the other male has to tell him.
The freckled boy frowns visibly upon hearing the fate of his apple tree and some of his yard, but he was partly confused because he didn’t know what an train or an royal engineer was. Why he never heard of such things other than ‘royal.’
"Ah, excuse me your… Highness? I’d just like to see the damages but you don’t have to worry about paying me back! I just couldn’t do that to you! It was an accident, right? Accidents happen." He steps outside and closes the door to his house behind him, and then proceeds the scene of the accident, not without spinning the windvane first! Once he sees the damage, he stares in shock at the large mess. It was a disaster. Grass torn away to reveal the brown earth, some of the grass has even blackened and then his tree! His poor tree! Some of the branches have been broken off and there were apples everywhere. The good thing was, it was still standing at least. That was a relief.
"Oh wow… It really is bad… But that’s okay! You don’t have to worry about it. I don’t have a problem fixing this big mess…. Just one thing," He turns towards the train, quite boggled to see such a strange contraption. "Do you think you can move this…? What did you call it again? A train? I’d like it off my yard, but it’s pretty big… What is a train, exactly? And an engineer?"
He stepped aside, nodding and letting the taller male walk outside. Remaining quiet as the other examined the area, he tugged at his cap, tipping the brim down a little over his face.
"Oh, um... yeah, I'm sorry to break it to you, but it'd be worse if I tried. Without any tracks, I'd have to say it'd be almost impossible to not cause your yard some unwanted makeover," he explained nervously.
Any sign of being polite and timid washed away almost instantly at the last phrase the other had uttered. "W-Wait a darn second there..!! Y...You don't know what a train is?! God almighty what kinda rock are you living under? Sheesh, by all the Spirits of Good you'd think the most important innovation in technology as we know it and the most efficient transportation device for all types of cargo-- people, items, loads, you name it, would be known by the world all over!" he yelled with a stronger voice rising still.
Grabbing at his cap, it now found its way into both his hands as he tugged and pulled at it viciously but not to the point he'd tear it apart. Continuing, he explained, "A train is an intricate locomotive vehicle that is made up a' multiple cars-- each one having a special purpose. That one right there is my 'Sweets Train' with an engine where fuel goes an' I steer, a car for my cannon t' launch bombs an' make things go 'KA-BOOM!!', a passenger car that anybody would enjoy to sit in since it's so darn sweet, and a freight car at the end that's specifically designed ta' make any train enthusiast drool even if there's cargo on there!! It goes super duper fast or cautiously slow, can make turns or straight ahead and behind! It can carry so many people anywhere as long as a line a' tracks are there ta' lead ya'! Underwater in special cases and it's good protection! A movin' set of armor even!! Comes in multiple forms ta' appeal t' all engineers an' passengers of any age or area! A legendary support of an entire nation that takes years to master the art form of drivin' it perfectly! A very foundation of New Hyrule..!!"
He took a deep breath, but his face showed no signs of slowing his vigorous speaking pace. He had begun to look sharper and angrier by the second as he spat out his words that had become shortened as he let his passion take control of him. "An engineer of a train goes an' does all sorts a' things! Repair the train, fuel the train, steer an' drive the train, deliver people and items all over-- they're true shinin' symbols of the kingdom! In fact, ya' have ta' be recognized by the princess 'erself ta' get such a title! Highest honor ta' be a royal engineer! I keep my certificate safe and in near mint condition! Nobody but the royal engineer drives her highness 'round the land! Y' got all 'dat?! I ain't even got all a' the basics covered for ya'!"
