[Leaning over to grab a box full of bags of chips and other preservable foods, she set it up on the counter before turning to face him once again.] Have at it. It isn't all that satisfying, but it's something, right? [She bit her lip in thought for a moment.] It's kind of sad, but I think I'm losing track of time. I want to say about two weeks.. Maybe. How'd you find it, anyway? If you don't mind, that is.

[She shook her head at his words as she led him into the kitchen.] Nah, I don't think so. We all have to eat and you seem relatively harmless. [she joked with a laugh.] Oh, and it's no problem. 

"It's alright," she said with a shrug, leaving out the fact that she had all but pushed her abusive father into a crowd of walkers so her mother and sister could escape. "Sorry about yours." With a smirk, she gave him a nod. "Oh yeah, guess it was just in my blood." 

I thought you might be. Come on then. [She smiled, waving for him to follow her.] We have a good bit here, we'll find you something.

Yeah, that would be me. Hmm.. I guess it all depends on what you want to know. So, I'll give you the basics and you can ask questions, if you want. I'm twenty-five, grew up in Atlanta. I was pretty much always in trouble growing up even up to not. I worked as a hair stylist in the city. I had just got home from work when I found out about this walker bullshit. Anyway, my dad died in the city and I lost track of my mom and sister, but I know they got out. 

It's nice to meet you, Jared. [Smiles softly, actually feeling sorry for how nervous he is.] Are you hungry or anything?..

I am, it's sort of a new hobby, to be honest. Hmm.. I think you should have. But you can always start watching me now. It's never too late, right?

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. It's pretty much the same for my family. My mother couldn't defend herself from anyone. 

[She gave him a smile, equally relieved that he wasn't a walker, though she refused to let any fear show.] It's alright, no worries. We've been here for a while with no problem. It's alright for now, promise. I'm Roxie, and you are?

Yeah, I tend to do about the same. Still, I keep an eye out now and again. Just because even in the face of the Apocalypse, people watching is still interesting.

Seems like you new people come in in herds or something. Anyway, nice to meet you, Nick. I'm Roxie Logan.

[Roxie uncrossed her legs as she examined the man in front of her. He seemed harmless enough, looked a bit scared even. Giving him a shrug, she smirked.] There are a few of us here, yeah. Might want to be more careful you know. [She frowned slightly before standing up.] But you should relax a little bit, I don't want you having a heart attack on me right here. You're safe, no walkers that I know of.

But how the hell are ya?

Pretty damn good. And who are you? I'm sure I haven't seen those baby blues around before.

That's how I've felt for a while. Maybe we can find them, all of them.

Yeah, I know what you mean. That's why I had to make sure my mom and sister got out of the city. I couldn't have stood either one of them getting.. ripped apart like that.
