I got into dnp by my only friend, at the time, mentioning them to me a lot because they were freaking out about tbv. I try to indulge in my friends' interests, so I decided to watch tbv on the 21st of October. Then I watched Phil's coming out video and had a giggle. Then I watched Basicsally, I'm Gay. I cried. A lot. I related to Dan so much that I was left a crying mess by the end of the video.

Even earlier that day, I had cut. I was deep in a depressive episode and had been for about a month at that point. To make matters worse, I was suicidal for the first time in my life, and I was deeply suicidal.

I found dnp in a time in my life where I really needed comfort. Then I realised that I heavily related to both of them. Slowly but surely, they helped me out of that pit. I read ywgttn and I watched wad and daniel and depression.

I found friends and community in spaces filled with amazing people who also found this comfort in dnp. Now? I'm doing better. It'll take a lot more than comfort and some good advice for me to get better, but I am receiving professional help.

They saved my life. On many occasions, and I'm sure they will save my life many more a time, too. I don't think there's anything I could ever do to say thank you enough.
