It saddens me to ponder the possibility that out of all the millions of believers in God, perhaps only a relatively few make God a reality. If God is love, is joy, is peace, is life, what would our lives be like if we were continuously aware this God is always there and everywhere? Yes, God’s presence is within me, with every sense I perceive God in the world as I go about my day. I see him at the end of the lens of my eye. I hear his voice in the words of others. I feel his presence along the path of swaying trees. In the woods and in the crowd, there is God. Maybe this is what Paul meant when he wrote, “So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going- to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him” (Romans 12:1 MSG). The worship or “offering” God desires from us is “embracing what God does for us” in our everyday lives. What does God do for us? He is continually stimulating our awareness of him through nature, friendship, parenting, music, silence, film, Scripture, work, and the tasks of daily living. God wants us to find him in it all.

prince of egypt is such a special movie… the characters were so beautifully written and it got the moral and story of the base material across well even though it wasn’t exactly the same. im so glad they made moses so sensitive, so open to learning and changing. i’m glad they made him cry. i’m glad tzipporah didnt fall in love with arrogant young moses, but rather the new person he became. i’m glad aaron was there to criticise him and force him to look at what he was doing and i’m glad miriam was there to give him the hope and the belief that he could change, and then incite change in others.

I thought it would be nice to do a little something for the upcoming holidays. There will be/are probably a bunch of these things floating around, but I thought organizing something like this myself would be kind of fun! Besides, giving back is something I should have done a long time ago.

HOW IT WORKS.

I will assign each one of you a person who you have to send cute messages to all of December. These messages can be words of encouragment, a quote or just a question of how their day went! Maybe throw in some random trivia too? That way you can figure out what to give them on the final day, if you want to do something ofcourse!

On the 25th of December, or better said, Christmas Eve, the final day commences. If you were planning on giving them a gift ( these can be gifsets, playlists, edits, videos, artworks, fics, etc ), you can send them it. This is also the day you reveal who you are!

Of course this works vice versa. Someone will be assigned your url as well. So, you give and you receive!

RULES.

You must reblog this post before the 20th of November. Likes are bookmarks.

I will message you with your person on the 26th of November.

For it to work, you do need to allow anon messages. Please don’t forget to enable them in December if you have them disabled!

You have to be active and put time into it. You don’t have to send a message everyday, but at least twice a week is nice. It’s not fun when someone puts a lot of effort into it and you don’t return the favor to someone else.

If you have problems with your secret santa, you can always message me and I’ll try to sort things out for you!
