Do NOT dismiss these signs.
If a dom (or even sub, but especially a dom) doesn’t open the conversation with asking about your kinks/turnons and limits/boundaries/turnoffs they are likely not going to be a safe person to talk to.
If a person doesn’t offer aftercare (or, at the bare minimum, affirmations that you did good and that they had fun) after a scene then they are likely not a safe person to talk to.
If you are trans and a cis (or trans!!!) person does not affirm your gender before and after a scene (during as well if you aren’t doing a misgen/detrans scene) then they are likely not a safe person to talk to.
If anyone claims to have no limits/boundaries/turnoffs, then they are not knowledgeable enough about kink to engage in it with. Or at the worst, they could be a dangerous person.
While I’m only a dom when engaging in kink on this blog, I am a switch and have made myself vulnerable to several unsafe doms. I have been violated emotionally, physically, and psychologically in ways I did not consent to.
Whatever you think you can handle now, may reveal itself as a trauma later on.
