Well, at the very least, she might find herself with some entertainment while she collected her bearings; but if previous encounters told her anything, this guy was probably just going to end up being a pain in the ass like usual.

[ Oh lovely. It was Kris’s lovely companion...Or perhaps she was also their underling, just like him! The pecking order in his head would make it to where he was her superior, but Kris’s most trusted (debatable) lackey. And she wanted answers from him? Where was Lancer anyway? He hadn’t. Actually thought about it. Whoops. ]

“Um… are you… doing something there?” Emil couldn’t help but notice the intense focus the other had, watching as he set a box of sorts into place. He didn’t know what sort of purpose that could possibly serve, but it looked…. well, important may not have been the right word, but it was something at least.
“I-I didn’t mean to distract you, just, um…” He couldn’t help but be curious. It looked like a meaningless task, but… well, it had to have some meaning. Probably.

[ Well, whatever concentration the Darkner had was gone. Thanks for that, Emil. Internally, he reeled, but just glanced over his shoulder, trying to placate himself, but, his grimace was still there. ]

There were many things that Essek wanted to comment upon. The biggest one being that shoving barrels into a hole hardly made for a puzzle. How did he come to this conclusion? What exactly was the aim here–to fill in the hole? Following the instruction, Essek placed his hand upon one of the the oil barrels and withheld a grimace at the awful texture. With his feeble strength he doubted that he could even push one of the rigs without humiliating himself. Still, he could indulge a little; and there was some morbid curiosity to pick at this strange fellow’s brain.
“I see, that is extremely fascinating. And, ah, what do you suppose you’ll get after finishing this… puzzle? I heard from a very reliable source that one could reclaim something that was lost if a suitable tribute was made to the hole.”

[ Where he found all of these oil barrels, is not something he’d tell, but, he was determined to get out of this akin to Castle Town but even worse hell (tm). For now, the Duke just began to roll the cylindrical containers. ]

[ With a hefty push, Rouxls successfully pushed one of (indiscernible coughing) many rigs. ]
