"I see a tragedy occurred"

thought about how to answer this for a bit... I'm just not someone who is engaged in fandom much these days. I used to have a lot of stronger opinions 5-7 years ago, and kind of regret that. I do have my own personal interpretation of Chara. I guess in short: I think Chara was troubled, and that they did bad things. That they loved people, but also life experience could make them cold, meanspirited, etc. I think this hurt Asriel a lot, and more than anything this is probably important to my interpretation of Asriel. That said, Chara can be many things to many people. In fandom, sometimes I think there's way too much of a desire to make sure everyone is on the same page about a character. There's a lot of that desire for homogenity in fandom, and a character like Chara is kind of intentionally meant to have some ambiguity. So on some level, I don't think my opinion matters that much. People will bring their own interpretations of Chara to art you do, and that's ok.

The funny thing is I've seen 2-3 people who overlap as Hunter and Roman fans specifically at this point. I guess it makes a certain amount of sense given the whole uh, character vibes between them. In essence, they are both people who point a lot of love at sources that don't give them a lot of love in return, that mold themselves around an abuser. You know. A miserable old man and their loyalest follower. But of course, they have a lot of differences as well. But yes Succession is one of my favourite things ever. I even own a Succession auction item lol. And I'm also a big Owl House fan.
