“Oh, my apologies. I didn’t mean to interrupt.”
"Oh, you're fine," she said, trying not to sound too relieved at her sisters appearance. "Thomas," she gestured to the empty chair occupied by a ghost, "was just reading me his latest poem. Is it time to go?" again, she tried not to sound too hopeful.

“I, for one, thought it was quite amusing.”
"I suppose it was a little bit,"

"I don't really understand the point of your existence. Do you mean to act so utterly useless?"
"I.....ok"
Nighttime Memory
Andre really hadn't meant to lose Wulfe. Or maybe he hadn't really done it. Wulfe could be hiding somewhere in the shadows. That would be just like him. Wulfe wasn't much for comforting, and Andre wouldn't have accepted it even if he was. They'd done what they set out to do, hunting. He'd had a few, three, four...who knew really. It was a homeless camp he'd stumbled upon. So he didn't much care who they were. Just that he drained them dry.
He wandered a while after that. Ignoring his cellphone. In fact, he'd dropped it in the bloody river, watching as it sank into the murky water. And not for the first time wondering what happened to a vampire who sank under the depth of the water. He'd seen it many times, but never really knew what actually happened to them. Did they just continue to exist down there? Or perhaps they inhaled water and that sort of did them in.
The blood in his stomach lurched a bit and he felt suddenly sick. He lowered himself down onto the pier, letting his feet dangle over the edge. The idea of merely letting himself fall into the water very tempting. But he imagined Wulfe would somehow appear and pull him out. Why his elder brother continually bothered with him he didn't know.
Over the course of the night Rosie had made the mistake of making eye contact with a few ghosts. It had made the party even louder than it already had been. But they'd left her alone the second things kicked off between the host and some other vampires. She'd left in a hurry along with almost all the other guests shortly after that.
The night was cold and still and for the first time in so many hours she was finally alone. So she'd opted to walk at least most of the way home. Just for the peace and quite. It was a fairly long way and she'd stopped off at an all night diner for a slice of pie and some hot chocolate. Because she knew the second she got back to her house it's resident ghosts would bombard her with questions.
She sat there a long while till a ghost appeared in front of her. One she recognised from the party. It made her jump to the point of spilling her second hot chocolate, scolding her hand. "Owww," she hissed quietly, grabbing napkins to wipe it off.
"Please, I need you're help," the ghost said, his eyes sad and imploring. She looked around, making sure no one was looking her way before she turned back to reply but he cut her off. "Please, I'm worried about him," the urgency in his voice made her frown. And something in the pit of her stomach told her not to ignore his. Silently she left her money on the table and slipped her coat back on.
She had to hurry to keep up with him, which was a little tricky in heels and made her regret wearing them. He stopped at the start of a pier and pointed to a man sat on it, his legs dangling over the water. "You have to make him fight for them, to protect them....to protect him...please, they have to protect him," she didn't know what it was about it but she felt a lump in her throat at the tone of his voice. And then he was gone. Presumably to watch over someone else now that she was here to do that for him with this man.
Rosie turned back to look at the lone figure. A vampire. And as she approached she realised she recognised him too. "Hello," she said a little awkwardly, not really sure what to do.

"No, but that doesn't help with getting them to be quiet,"
Thaddeus snorted. "Oh...is that the problem?" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a blunt. He hated those stupid vape pens. He presented it to her. "That'll help that."
"Absolutely not," she said leaning away from it, like even being near it could get her high. "That has the complete opposite effect. Weakens the walls and lets even more it,"
"No, but that doesn't help with getting them to be quiet,"
"I see... well, I'm still not intending to give up the seat."
"Ok then,"
“Oh, you take it,” she said to the person who’d arrived at the last free booth at Hektor’s at the same time as her. “I don’t mind sitting at the counter,”

"Well. As circumstances are. We arrived after all the action. Which is unfortunately. But I expect there will be enough for all of us soon enough."
"That almost makes it sound like you are sorry to have missed it,"
“I’m not Zander. I don’t even look like the guy.”
"Oh..." Rosie gave a puzzled frown. He didn't sound like Zander actually. And now that she really looked at him he didn't dress like him either. Or carry himself like him. But his face was the same.
"There aren't any good ones for skipping, in all fairness."
"There's a good one by your left foot," Rosie said, parroting what one of her ghosts had said.
Rosie frowned a little, “I can understand the glitter. It’s nearly impossible to get rid of. But Magnus seems like such a lovely man,”
"His affected persona is tiresome. All that attention-grabbing will get old for you too, love, don't mistake it for charm."
"I'm not sure that I will. I think he's fun," she replied, feeling a little defensive of the older warlock even though she didn't know him all that well. "And surely you can't think he's that tiresome if you're here,"
At the Han Clinic
"I'm in the back, give me a moment." Mason calls out when he hears the alarm letting him know someone had walked into the clinic. "Can I help you with something?" He asks once he makes his way to the front.
"Oh, ok," she said quietly. Taking a seat in the waiting area, she held her hand close to her chest. It was wrapped in a towel that was starting to change colour. "I hope so...I sort of had a bit of a cooking related accident," aka one of the ghosts had decided it would be funny to make her jump whilst she was chopping onions.

“Death doesn’t always have to be permanent.” He explained thoughtfully.
“No, though not always in the way people expect,”
Rosie laughed, "Some more than others," she joked about herself, desperately trying to ignore the ghost. She couldn't stop her eyes flickering to it just once though. "How are you enjoying the party?"
Scarlett almost questioned the comment, but let it lie in favor of the other woman's evident desire to change the topic. "I can't lie, I do love the excuse to get all dolled up," she replied with a small smile. "And you?"
“I agree,” she said enthusiastically, “There’s not enough opportunities to dress up these days.” Rosie nodded, “It’s been….fun. Yeah, fun,” she sounded a little more sure the second time. There had been a few ghost, and it had been a challenge to deal with it ignore them. But despite that it had been a fun evening so far.
