Corinne  is  the  only  daughter  of  the  affluent  Delacroix  family;  her  father,  Marcel,  being  a  prominent  financial  auditor  for  multiple  big-name  businesses  and  her  mother,  Rowena,  being  a  renowned  interior  designer  of  elite,  classic  tastes.  On  the  surface,  they  seem  to  be  a  normal  —  if  privileged  —  family.  But  something  dark  lurks  underneath.

For  as  long  as  Corinne  has  known,  she  has  been  an  Evolver.  Though  it  wasn't  until  she  was  a  bit  older,  and  her  parents  instilled  the  importance  of  secrecy  surrounding  her  Evol  that  Corinne  realised  she  is  of  a  very  rare  kind  of  Evolver  —  the  Anhausen  class.  Very  few  Evols  of  this  class  exist  (  MC  is  currently  the  only  in-game  example  of  this  class  ),  and  beyond  that,  her  specific  Evol  presents  a  number  of  dangerous  opportunities  if  the  knowledge  is  given  to  the  wrong  people.

Corinne's  Evol  is  Time.  As  an  untrained  Evolver,  she  is  only  able  to  pause  or  travel  through  time  for  very  short  periods;  from  a  few  minutes  up  to  a  few  hours  and  doing  so  brings  great  stress  upon  her  body.  The  potential,  however,  to  travel  great  lengths  means  that  Corinne  is  a  prime  target  for  experiment  and  research  labs.  It  is  because  of  this  that  she  has  always  kept  her  Evol  a  secret.

Her  parents  have  gone  to  great  lengths  to  keep  her  safe,  but  in  doing  so,  her  father  found  himself  in  the  web  of  Ever's  watchful  eyes.  Marcel's  widespread  connections  both  in  Linkon  City  and  the  N109  zone  makes  him  both  a  perfect  candidate  for  networking  and  a  perfect  target  for  those  that  don't  want  someone  knowing  too  much.

When  her  father  doesn't  return  from  a  three-day  business  trip,  it  sparks  immediate  concern.  Corinne  demands  they  begin  a  search,  but  her  own  mother  seems  hesitant  to  look  for  him,  perhaps  because  she  fears  whoever  is  keeping  him  must  already  know  about  Corinne's  Evol,  and  even  the  authorities  seem  lax  in  their  investigation.  Unperturbed,  Corinne  takes  it  upon  herself  to  search  for  him  and  enters  the  stage  of  players.
