Mori kei is its own fashion style. Hipster fashion is not mori kei. Vintage fashion is not mori kei. Boho fashion is not mori kei. Costuming or LARP fashion is not mori kei. Mainstream fashion is not mori kei. Pastel J-fashion, Lolita, fairy kei, dolly kei, etc. Nothing except mori fashion is mori kei.

Unless your outfit is mori kei, or directly mori inspired (and you state as such), please do not tag/post your photos with a tag that does not relate to them. You may think your post is innocent enough, but cluttering the tag with non related content harms a small community’s ability to connect and share content they are passionate about on the internet. Please, be considerate, and research or think about your tags before posting.

I was inspired by this post by @littlemoriflower I know that the mori community is somewhat inactive for the past couple of years but I’m happy that that way.

Don’t misunderstand, I’m sure there are people who participate in the mori lifestyle daily, they don’t need/have to post about their lifestyle a lot online regularly. A lot of people are busy (like me!) or just feel lazy. And I don’t mind at all!

Another thing is that I wish that the mori community would never be over commercialized like cottagecore or coquette. I want everyone in the mori community to live to their own unique way of life, without over consuming and over posting their daily lives for clicks. (the influencer life sounds draining anyways)

Enjoy your life however you please! Read, draw, sew or crochet! Make a small post about your mori life from time to time. Make your own life full and happy without spending too much time worrying things online! :)
