But she almost wanted to believe that if she didn’t accept everything? It would all fade away and disappear. She was by no means stupid– but this was all a bit… much? “I’m… not ready to be a mother. I’m nowhere near ready for all of this.”

“Look--- no one is expecting you to be ready for this.” A hand reached across the table to Corey, allowing the little girl to ‘escape’ and crawl under said table. “I don’t think anyone can ever be ready for it... But, you can’t put off something like going to the doctor, even if you’re not going to keep it for yourself.--- You don’t have to be a mother yet, but you don’t have to be afraid of it.”

Happy 34th Birthday, Kirsten Caroline Dunst! “I feel much more confident in myself, in life… I don’t stress as much now, I’ve grown more sensitive though. The older I get, the more sensitive I’ve become. I don’t know why. I appreciate things more. I mean, I’ve always been very grateful, but I feel far more grounded than I did 10 years ago.”

“I– ah– haven’t gone to the doctor to find out exactly yet. But… from what I could figure I should be due sometime in November.” She was terrified of the whole situation, there was no way to dance around that. Then again, the whole experience had been rather horrible at this point. She smiles a bit though as she watches the child. Perhaps, if she got through it all, it would be okay. “I’m– actually terrified to go.”

  “November isn’t very far away.” She rose a eyebrow as she scooped Viola up to have her sit on her lap ‘right’... The little girl continued to giggle and squirm away.    “--Why are you so scared of going?”

You’ve seen a child at Christmas, right? Well, that was Blake on steroids. From the moment he’d set foot in the jungle, it was like entering a god-damn toy store - whether it being to stalk through the overgrowth or gain a vantage point in the trees, he was flooded with raw instinct; unfamiliar with the Zandian landscape, sure, but certainly not unfamiliar with the general offerings.  Bonus points, of course, went to Becca who stood by his side. Somehow, the experience seemed that little more exciting with her presence. So, you can’t exactly blame him for quirking a brow at the question. What he thought she was implying, well, we’ll put that down to the bond they shared on a primal level. Intimacy. Yes, he figured she was going to show him something fairly explicit. Not that he anticipated it, of course.  “Go ahead.” 

Rebecca’s grip on his hand tightened a small bit as he agreed to do what she wanted to do. Not have a second after agreeing she was pulling him along after her. She would have started running, but she wanted him to stay close with her. She knew this section of the jungle pretty well, having come there often with her parents as a child. And she knew exactly where she wanted to take him. It wasn’t very long until they were outside of what was obviously a cave opening... She wanted to go in and explore with him. “--Lets go in there--.”

Snuggling against the motion, he closed his eyes in a moment of uninterrupted appreciation - struggling to process how someone could be quite as tender and gentle as Rebecca’d seemingly mastered. At the prospect of spending some time alone with her to prowl - for, that’s what walking really was to him - his face lit up with child-like excitement; even more so when he considered how relieving time away from Artemis would be. The look said it all, really. He was pumped and ready to go!

“Do you want to see something cool?” She asked, once they where out of range of the house, and well into said ‘jungle’.

Grazing his stubble against the exposed flesh between her neck and shoulder blade, he released a low purr of intimate satisfaction; too enthralled by the contact to concern himself with Artemis’ burning glare. “Now, I am.”

After afew moments, Becca pulled back from the hug, though she definitely didn’t stop the contact. Instead her hands moved from where they’d been resting on his shoulders to his cheeks. Her thumbs running gently across the stubble in hopes to keep him purring. “Do you wanna take a walk with me?”
