Errors Accessing AO3

We are investigating reports of errors when trying to load AO3, including errors saying that AO3 is down, which seem to be related to the previous incident. We will update when we have more information!

AO3 is now fully down. After performing a software upgrade a few days ago, we've been unable to keep our server cluster healthy due to what we believe is a bug or issue with the new release of our database server software.

We're working with our vendor's support team to understand the cause and whether reverting or upgrading further will best resolve the issue without continuing the cycle of up and downtimes.

We do not currently have an estimated time for when we will be back up, but we expect it to be multiple hours at minimum. We apologize for the inconvenience and will update you when we know more.

IMPORTANT

I haven't seen that many people talk about this, but...

This is a scam! If you get a message from a Tumblr user claiming they falsely reported you and want help proving it was an accident, it's not true!

Here is the image they sent me.

There's a couple problems with this:

Real emails from Tumblr end in ".com," not ".social."

It states that my account has been taken down, but I'm still here.

The request must be made to a Discord user, but I think Tumblr settles reports by Email?

At first, I believed this (their texts felt vaguely human with the usage of swears) and contacted the user "official.mullenweg" on Discord.

I have no screenshots of the conversation, but searching for the username in the Tumblr search bar will bring you people who were sent similar messages. From what I remember, the account claimed to "Check your Tumblr records." But in the meantime, they would ask you to "Provide your date of birth and country."

I blocked the user immediately after seeing this.

The account that messaged me seemed to be a fandom blog, so I believed their claims. But looking back now, the original owner of the account had probably fallen for the same scam.

This is my first fanart for the fic The Secrets in Our Quills by @nebrasska-alasska. I made it to show my love for this incredibly well-written story. I truly believe it’s the best Sonadow fic I’ve ever read—it feels like a gift to the fandom. I did my best to finish this artwork, but I didn’t have much time because of important things in my life, so I had to leave the final render unfinished.

I can’t help but feel a little disappointed about the unfinished render lol, but I’m thinking about making fanart again in the future if I have the time, of course.
