“The fact that you think convincing me would work is a bit telling.” Seth muttered in annoyance. “Well there’s a first time for everything, isn’t there?”

“Me neither-I prefer online shopping than being in the Black Friday crowd-you get good deals and they have the best things online anyway.”

“If I was, I would be a really good one,” Ragnar admitted with with a little laugh. “I agree, some people really do need to read that book. Well I can help spread your tips if you teach me.”

“You have a point there.” Annalei smiled. Pretending as if nutritional value mattered to her was funny, but it wasn’t the type of silliness to turn her nose up at. The way she saw it, this conversation warmed her cursed corpse. “I know you’re off hours, but do you think it’d be ok if you came with me to do some groceries? Honestly, I still eat like I’m on a road trip.”  This time Annalei wasn’t lying. Even though food wasn’t as appealing to her as before, she still turned to quick eats and diners for some normalcy. 

She nodded her head once she saw her friend and heard the words ‘ready to go’, “Thank god,” she let out a breath, “Yes.”

“So you’re telling me that harassment is the best course of action that you could come up with? As far as first impressions go, you’re quite unsettling.” Seth stated with lacked enthusiasm. “Right.”

“Now why on earth would I have a grave to be trampled over?” Nathaniel wanted to be remembered for his infamy. He wanted to stain his family’s history and make it so that they buried his name. The more that they feared him, the better. He hoped his soul twisted in damnation so that when they slipped up, he would return as a curse. “Even when we die, chaos continues to work whether we like it or not.” He leaned down to speak to her. “You know what I’m talking about. Do I have to show you some of the people that you haven’t screamed for? I have plenty in my collection.” 

Katrina worked on taking in deeper breaths. If she wasn’t so tired then she would have gone on a cool down, but she hurt too much to move. “Nah, not really. I’m just stubborn as hell. Thought I could go for the usual three or so hours, but I think I went too hard. Might have pulled something, but I’m not really sure. Are you holding up ok?”

the opinion was a very valid one, and the more angelina thought about it as she walked along, eyes scanning for the big blonde dog, the more she gained confidence in herself. “ i really like kids too, ” she replied. “ little kids. they’re a lot like animals, i guess. they need a lot of attention and care, but they’re so so loving. ” she wanted to work with little kids when she got older, maybe as a preschool teacher, or a child therapist. “ it’s kinda silly… ” for the first time, the brunette got sort of sheepish. “ i want to go around the world and visit all the disney parks. since i worked in california’s all ready, that one’s all ready crossed off my list. there are five more to go. ” she’d had that dream since before she graduated high school, before getting the job at disneyland anaheim, when she was just a preteen with a season pass and a heart full of expectation and wonder.

“No, not really, I stay at home on Black Friday and browse online.”

“Really? I have to learn all that?” he asked as he kept thinking about it. “And it would be an important book that everyone needs to know-if I was a book agent, I would ask you to write a book like that so I can sell it. Would be flying off the shelves.”

“Heading to a convenient store probably doesn’t help with the healthy snack category.” She laughed. “To be honest, with how busy I am, I haven’t given much thought to what I eat.”  And if she was really honest then she’d explain that her diet consisted of mostly booze and the occasional blood pack to keep her running. When she felt like having desert, Annalei would smoke like a chimney. Somehow these things kept her from going on a murderous rampage. “Maybe it’s time that I visit an actual grocery store…”
