For context: Given the story takes place in the 1990s, the first of the silver-bordered card sets, Unglued, was released in 1998. It had a lot of shenanigans in card design that meant they weren't tournament legal but more for fun and kitchen table play. The two primary characters here each open a pack containing one half of the BFM (Big Furry Monster). It might as well be the cheesy half-heart necklace thing with these two 😂
