BIO: Rook Whitlock

Rook has been in around the city for almost two weeks, He kept pretty low after running from his ex after a relationship gone bad turned into a domestic and himself being out-ed as being bisexual in his home town

Rook needed a job eventually so has decided to come out of hiding and for protection signed up with charbonneu after he discovered a card on the train to work which was left by a hooded man, It was almost like he knew

 Rook is a human and is yet to fur fill his oath

Bartender

Rook is in the closet Bisexual and after TW abuse from his father when he was younger for being feminine Rook is extremely hostile towards the notion that he is bisexual or feminine often denying it to anyone

As one of 2 siblings him being the oldest he is often in search of his younger sibling

Rook is not always one to show to much emotion but once he finds his lifelong friends or partner he gains attachments quickly often causing himself to end up hurt or being deemed as a little obsessive

“That’s fine. You don’t have to explain anything to me if you don’t want to.” He tells the other before looking at the menu. “I will probably have the beef and broccoli.” He says as he turned to the waitress to order. Once he placed his order, he turned back to the other. “So then how long have you been out here?” 

Rook nodded smiling softly ordering the same, thanking the waitress he looked back at the boy, “Roughly a few weeks..but I stayed to myself for a while, what about you?” He asked playing with the table cloth. 

“Yeah I am. The media would have found out about it eventually.” He shrugged before taking the menu from the other with a ‘thank you’. “Also if it makes you feel better, every place around here is decorated for Valentine’s day so it wouldn’t matter where we go to eat food.” 

“Makes me feel better..?” He asked thinking, “I..I’m not like gay or bi or nothing” He added quickly feeling a little on edge because his thoughts said otherwise, Once the waitress came over Rook ordered his food and a drink smiling soft at Chase, “What you having?” He asked trying to steer the conversation away.

“Up to you. I don’t really care. The public already knows that I am pan so it doesn’t matter for me. Although there is nothing wrong with being gay you know.” 

“I..no no I know it’s just yeah umm fuck it” He shrugged going to sit down with Chase by the window, oh lovely so everyone can see them in a romantic setting two dudes. “So..you’re pansexual? that’s pretty cool you’re open about it though” He smiled softly passing him a menu”

“I don’t usually go out on the town with other hu-people…I tend to just stick to myself but you invited me out so I figured it would be polite to join you. Sure chinese works for me.” 

Rook swallowed thinking to himself for a moment, did he really just almost say what he thought he said, “Well..aren’t you sweet” He laughted as they reached a place opening the door for him, “Oh crap I forgot it’s a valentines theme” He swallowed, “Wanna find somewhere else I mean otherwise we’re gonna look pretty damn gay” He said looking around feeling a little nervous.

“Yeah food seems fine.” He tells him with a shrug. “What kind of food did you have in mind?” Chase asks before taking a drag. 

Rook laughed as he motioning for him to walk with him, “Oh you seem so thrilled about it..err what about chinese?” He asked glancing at him,

“Oh, damn, yeah so you’re absolutely tired then.” Her eyes widened a bit at the thought. She personally couldn’t imagine having to be a bartender. Waitressing was bad enough and she hadn’t done that long term thankfully. A smile broke across her face though as he joked, lifting her shoulders a bit. “Hey, I think sometimes everyone’s profession gets the better of them.” She mused. “I’m a journalist.. Well, photojournalist. I used to do investigative reporting but now I do celebrity and local gossip and trail cheating husbands.” She wiggled her eyebrows at him. 

Hearing her job sounded kinda cool to Rook smirking a little, “Oh so remind me never to cheat on my hus--wife” He laughed softly looking at her, “So you’re like..a journalist but with photos?” He asked finishing he drink, Rook found her so refreshing to talk to making his anxiety slowly fade. “You look epic by the way” He motioned at her outfit.

Chase took the cigarette with a smile before lighting it. “Thanks man. So what is it that we were going to do again? You might have to refresh my mind a bit.” 

Nodding as he watched him light up he smiled, “Er..food?” He asked thinking honestly he would do anything with Chase which was weird for him because well Rook hated dudes..so he tells himself again.and again., “We can do something else if you want to?” he said sounding as desperate as sin.

“You tired of the party too?” Miles questioned the emerging figure. He’d been sitting outside for a few minutes now, having felt like he needed a little bit of air. Tonight simply wasn’t one of those nights where he felt like going crazy with the alcohol. He wanted more to enjoy the evening with Rose—and just stay in if he could. “It’s getting pretty crazy in there, huh?”

“You’re telling me..” He spoke softly sitting down by the boy he smiled softly, Rook wasn’t really one for parties and back home all the parties ended up in death,drugs or being arrested for him atleast. “You alright..” He asked offering him a cigarette unaware if the boy smoked.

She looked at him skeptically when he said that he wasn’t lying. “So you’re actually good? You didn’t look it.” At his question, she shrugged with a chuckle. “No idea, honestly. Not too much, I think, though? Either way, fresh air will probably do me good.” She sat down on the sidewalk and pulled out her smokes, lighting one up between her lips. 

Rook laughed nodding as he watched her feeling a little calmer, “I would say maybe it’s the drink but..it’s rare I’m not drinking” He chuckled a little before doing the same in following her lead having a cigarette.

Elektra hadn’t even thought to check the booth to see if it was empty before dropping down into one side, her eyes on her phone as she rapid-fire texted. It wasn’t until someone spoke that she looked up, and that was only to give the person a withering glare. “Listen here, little boy- I don’t give a fuck,” she said coolly, offering a frigid smile before resuming her texting, crossing one long neon boot clad leg over the other. “What’s got your panties in a knot anyway. I can smell you freaking out from over here.” 

Slightly taken aback Rook smirked watching her, “Why the fuck should I tell you”He said amusingly giving her back the energy as she did him, which was slightly refreshing.

Chase had been debating whether or not to actually show up and he looked at the clock before heading to the bar. What’s the worst that could happen anyway. He mused to himself before seeing the other standing outside. “Hey, sorry I am late. I got tied up at work a bit later than I thought.” 

Rook heard footsteps spinning around slightly just as he was about to give up on seeing him he smiled soft, “No worries...nice to see you again” He smirked offering Chase a cigarette, God the boy smelt so good his cologne swirled around Rook as the wind caught up.

“You’re talking to me now, aren’t you? Me—a total stranger.” She let out a soft chuckle, shaking her head. “If you can talk to one stranger, you can talk to anybody else in this joint.”

“You’d think that..but trust me” He laughed motioning for the waiter to come back so he could order another drink, “I’ll make you a deal...” He said smirking softly.

“Ah.” She raised her eyebrows in amusement. “So why don’t you get on that? I mean—what’s the worst that can happen? Get turned down?” He seemed a little awkward… didn’t he? Maybe he just needed a little push.

Rook shrugged as he looked down again, “I.. ah no I can’t” He said a little awkwardly, He hadn’t been even near another person in months let alone a random stranger.

“Yeah I can uh…I can see you then.” Chase hung up the phone. He knew the other was a human so why was he making an effort to spend more time with them? He knew that this could be rather dangerous and he wasn’t sure if this was the best idea. 

Time went by for Rook and he felt more nervous than ever, He didn’t even like guys so why was this such a big deal for him. Rook grabbed his coat clocking out of the bar as he stepped outside to wait for Chase after a while he started checking his phone. “I swear dude...” He mumbled under his breath thinking he wasn’t about to turn up as it had been a while.
