I lost a good friend yesterday. Darrell Jackson’s life was a synopsis I wrote to get into film school in 2003.

We maintained a relationship ever since, and I loved him like a brother. His life began like a roller coaster with ups and downs, but it eventually became more powerful and impactful after he finished playing baseball.

His story was meant for the silver screen, yet he was so humble about his work and he couldn’t believe that I would want to make a movie about him. I loved him for that, and I will always love you, Darrell. Rest easy 🕊️
