Like… Patricia being Scottish just seems correct. I don’t even know how to describe it, I just think that everything about her would be enhanced if she were Scottish.

we don’t hear a LOT about her (which, judging by what we see from most of the on-screen parents, means they probably have a good relationship). and like, you know, it was just the two of them for basically his whole life. no siblings, no other parent. just mom. and unless he grew up HATING her (which he clearly doesn’t), they’re gonna have a fairly strong relationship. and yeah he calls her boring at one point but do you really think any teen is admitting being close with his mom? absolutely not, especially one trying to pull the cool, tough-guy act. he’s definitely covering that shit up to try and look cool and aloof
