Hiver stopped in his steps and turned to the demon. He tilted his head in genuine confusion since it was he who approached him on the matter. If the demon didn’t know what it was then… why did he say such a commonly misunderstood word?
“Romans are…” He closed his eyes briefly and inhaled, smiling a little. It brought a small sense of joy in him to be able to express his opinions. “Stories. Simple stories, complex stories, happy stories, sad stories, tragic stories, enthralling stories, life draining stories, death inducing stories…” He stopped, thinking he might seem annoying. “Simply stories, my friend. And yet, they could be so much more…”
Stories? That’s all they were? One could say he was slightly delighted in searching for them since he enjoyed reading books or learning of them in particular. A life was a story in itself but that wasn’t the matter as of now— well then again. Continuing his own steps so he stood side by side to Hiver, he was grateful for the information.
Shaytan was in the least annoyed, even if he held his days of complete anger— when it came to things such as stories; his interest was always piqued. “That’s quite an explanation, I do hope we can find some that excite you.” This was something he was really willing to do and bringing along Layla did come to mind but something simple as this could be dangerous in it’s own.
"I hope we can find something that excite -you- as well, Shaytan," Hiver smiled briefly. "I've already found a great many stories in preparation. It would be nice to have someone to share them with." He turned and walked off into the wilderness, looking for anything that might resonate with his senses. This demon man he had brought felt quite familiar to him for some reason, and he intended to find out why. How could he know someone when he had only just been born? Impossible... Unless he was responsible for his revival.
The two of them had only just reached the bank of a large river when Hiver realized that they walked in silence. This was most unfitting of a new companion, so he asked a question to ease the tension he felt. "Have you heard of someone called Elefseus? or perhaps... Savant?" These names had just appeared in his mind for no reason, prompting him to ask. "... Or... Violette... and Hortense...?" A strange cold wind blew at the back of his neck, slightly instilling fear in him.
